Marvel
Her approach is a little too breathy for meI just feel like something is missing on the compositions. The small amount of stuff I've listened to almost sounds full of simple fills like my 5th grade music teacher used to do during Christmas recitals. Keep hoping I'll find a more complex song that wows me.I do typically like female vocalists in general, heard this one for the first time this morning, jaw dropped... can't get the same reaction with Diana for some reason. Love it too! Reminds me of Whisky Lullabye, and may become another classic. Great lyric structure, strings, nice simple arrangement... missing from most all new country pop. Hopefully her new release won't sound like everyone else. Bruce
oldtimer
I don't have any Krall or Beatles in my collection. That's not a total diss since there are lots of lps I don't have that I would like to have. But those are the ones I would get before the two. Fjd
I don't have any in my collection, of course, she does seem to wear her album cover fairly well..... Edited November 14, 2015 by Fjd
derrickdj1
I can appreciate her music but, I have yet to purchase some. I can get into some Norha Jones, Eliane Elias, Samatha Jone, Randy Crawford, Pamela Williams and a few other contemporary female jazz vocalist. Marvel
I have the first two NJ CDs, like them a lot. Recordings seem very relaxed, almost like a live session. I just have to be in the right mood for them. Still don't have any DK material, but have enjoyed what I have heard. Bruce
vindeville
"live in Paris " is my fav but have all her stuff. "Rag doll"I do not care for. I think she's a wonderful singer and tremendous piano player. She puts together great musicians with high quality presentation.
