christrx
Paired set (11R713 , 11R714) I believe 1979 Klipschorn speakers in cherry. They are in good condition. Front veneer has a few chips as can be seen in the pictures, light scuffing at bottom toe plate, veneer on one of the speakers has slightly lifted or bubbled. The cloth is all in great condition and the speakers are loud as all hell. My father was the second owner and he said the previous owner had them in an old musty basement which would explain the slight lifting of the veneer (no odor). My father owned them for 15 years and has since passed. These are way too big for any application in my house. I have had them and used them for 5 years but prefer slimmer speakers that can blend in a little better, but these things are ridiculously loud and efficient. I had them on a McIntosh amplifier and they sound great. If you are familiar with these you will know the price is right. $1850 obo text at 815-530-3035 Chicagoland area, local pick up. They can be hooked up to listen too if wanted. Edited April 25, 2016 by christrx

The tags on the back says: KC-BR = Klipschorn, Type C (non-collared), Birch Raw. Do you have the McIntosh amp for sale too? GLWS
ricktate
GOOD PRICE that would be a BUY BUY BUY IF you are looking for some. But I would make sure the rear air chamber is still air tight. Easy to fix if not.

christrx
Also, where are you located? Shipping available?...............thanks! Teaman....I am south of Chicago off I80 and I55. Its about 4 hours from you. I have friends in Kalamazoo and believe your not to far from there. Right? I am sure shipping would be an option but probably not worth the expense. They are very large and heavy. If it was something you were really interested in I could meet you half way but I prefer whoever wanted them came out to see them. I always prefer someone know ever detail and there are no questions. Just let me know though. Thanks, Chris

Not while my father owned them. He helped usher in a lot of my friends at an early age to music, but he always wanted the K-horns and I remember the day he got them. He was grinning ear to ear. Although, my mother wasn't to happy. I worked for Tweeter home entertainment in early 2000 and bought him some B&K balanced separates that blew his old Carver receiver out of the water. I have a lot of audio myself and planned on using these in a specific room but the room is 12ft exactly and they are way to overpowering for such a skinny listening area for my tastes. If I had a larger room they would be a keeper. The McIntosh amp is not for sale. Sorry. I am actually looking for an MC 352 if anyone has one. I also have 2 pioneer Rt 707 reel to reel if anyone is interested. Both have a take up reel but each one has one light out on the front. Looking for 250 a piece for those. Thanks, Chris Edited April 26, 2016 by christrx
ZEUS121996
The book matching on the fronts and tops makes me think they were raw birch stained cherry. Mark
Woofers and Tweeters
Chris, I can see why your father had the grin factor going on, I grin every time I listen to mine. Whoever scores these will be grinning too.
