CWeber
Can't believe I am doing this but condo life is approaching, I have had these since 1974 or so and they are one of a kind, Walnut veneer and Slate veneer tops, beautiful condition. Price $1100 local pickup only, you will not find speakers like this, great WAF appeal Edited May 26, 2016 by CWeber

Budman
i'd like to see some better pictures. are the slate tops removable 74 would have the letter M in the serial number and the grill cloth was not removable from the factory. pie slice in each corner the walnut looks very light so it seems they are lacquer Edited May 26, 2016 by Budman
CWeber
Since I can't seem to load better Picts I will provide better Picts to anyone just send me your e mail. No the tops are not removable. I believe that they are from 72, I have had them since 74 and bought them just as shown. What do you mean by lacquer ? They look different when not lit by the flash of the camera

CECAA850
Shouldn't they be designated as vertical somehow?
mungkiman
Shouldn't they be designated as vertical somehow? The vertical designation is that they were called Cornwall II on the label. These are likely Fir, like the black decorators of the time, and they have certainly been wrapped with an additional layer of Walnut. Look closely at the photos.
