So...after an extensive listening session, I have to say some things...

1)

The 2012 vinyl remaster is very good. Nice clarity, nice punch. In my ears a bit too "nice", too "polished". The instruments are nicely separated and the sound of the drums is fantastic. The soundstage is pretty big.

The vinyl is very quiet and in an excellent condition upon arrival (I dont like the original cardbox-innersleeves, though).

All-in-all a fantastic re-issue, if someone has no other pressings at hand..., because

2)
The UK-1st-pressing sounds much more "REAL". More aggressive, more punch, more everything. I couldnt believe my ears how loud it played on the same volume as the 2012-remaster.
The drum-sound kicks the 2012´s *** badly, as do the bass and the guitars...The UK is more in ya face. The soundstage is incredibly bigger than the 2012-remaster.

3)
The Japanese-1st pressing kind of lacks in the area of "power" of the UK, BUT the dynamics on this wonderful pressing is just stunning. Compared to this, the 2012 sounds like "dead".
Also, if you prefer DETAIL over in ya face, the Japanese 1st is the choice no 1.

Conclusion.

The Uk-1st and the Japanese 1st beat the 2012 by a lot of miles, although the 2012 sounds really really good.

My BIGGEST realization:

I will NEVER EVER buy a VINYL-RECORD again which is from a digital source.
What brought this realization about?

The FRIGHTENING difference in the dynamics of the 2012-remaster and Uk and Japanese 1st...unbelievable.

Long live analogue!

debating on buying vintage , re release , or reissued..

Pink Floyd the wall...any suggestions...

I always go for the original or new that was recorded from the original master tapes without remixing

The Beatles' eighth studio LP sees the band reinvent itself, and in the process, the entire landscape of modern popular music. 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will be a smash hit and a revelation for critics, and decades later, many will still call it a work of art that qualifies as the best rock album in history.

A quick spin in between jobs at work But someone gotta do it

Free time is hard to find

This is a great album by UK

In this album we see Terry Bozzio taking over the drumming from Bill Bruford It features exceptional synth work by Eddie Jobson and bass and vocals from the master John Wetton

Artist - UK

Now for some alternative pop rock from New Zealand but adopted as there own by Australia

The music was fantastic and the hair styles were out of this world

A great band with members going on to bigger and better things
