Rxonmymind
I did it once in 2008. Fun them , not worth it for me now. So much has changed to tilt the advantage towards the consumer in terms of convenience shopping via online. Back then they had killer deals, not seeing them now. JJkizak
I bought my Sony TV in 2006 on Black Friday. Was Black Friday around at that time? JJK

YK Thom
The Black Friday phenomenon has spread north of your border and is now entrenched in Canada. I would say it started in a big way about 6 years ago or so. Prior to that the traditional big savings day was always Boxing Day - although the day after the calendar Boxing Day as it was observed as a holiday until about 15 years ago. As I live in Yellowknife, retail is limited. So for the first time I participated albeit online. My wife is a Roots fanatic and had her eyes on some new boots next trip down south to Edmonton. 40% off online on Friday! She has no idea but she is going to be getting new Hanukkah boots this year.
