Deang
What, can't get a Fastrac LaScala into a Cornwall?
jwc
Nope. Unless you cut baffle

mark1101
Well I have beater decorators and understand I have to cut the heck out of the fronts to get the fastracs in there. But..........from a depth perspective can the fastrac lascalas + K55 go into a cornwall cabinet and still get the back closed up? I don't care about chopping up the front of the speaker. Deang
I can measure it when I get home, I can take some pictures too. The horn seems pretty short.
The Dude
Why a Fastrac? Why not something else?
mark1101
I have fastracs in my lascalas. I can measure too. I just hought you experts might already know. It would be exciting to me to wind up with a cornscala in a real cornwall. I never thought to check the fit on the lascala versions of the Fastracs. Why Fastracs? Because they sound excellent. I like the ones I already have. WOudl like to stick with the brand.

I'm almost positive that's what I have in mine.

Deang
I just found an old thread where Dave said it was 11". I think it will depend on what driver you're using. With the adapter and the K-55 -- I'm not so sure it would make it. I seem to remember the Cornwall having a depth of just under 16".

jwc
If your gonna cut out a larger hole in the baffle...consider mount fastrac from the front
mark1101
Well I measured them up and no go. Fastrac lascala and driver are too deep for the corn. Corns are ~14" deep inside and the horn with K55 is almost 15. But it is worse than that. My corns are verts. There is no way to get the horn onto the board without replacing the motorboard, and then mounting from the front which the Fastrac lascala is not meant to do. It is just not an option. I had already determined the Fastrac cornwall could be shoehorned (barely) in by relocating the tweeter and cutting out both the squawker and tweeter holes to get the horn in. So............still looking. I know someone out there has a pair of Fastrac corrnwalls they could part with........... Name your price....... Nevermind........went in a different direction. Thanks anyhow
