The US Open is the only Grand Slam that has a tie-breaker in the 5th set.  All the others are win by two games.  I think it's much more exciting this way.

This is it.  No mistakes!

I was asleep. I used to play tennis and enjoy it, but recently have started watching golf. Never thought I would like it, but it's simply amazing to watch, especially with the technology today.

Seems like 2 people at least are watching.

wvu (Dave) was right.  That was about as good as it gets.  US Open Quarterfinals, match tiebreaker, with the players tied at 5 to 5.  That's as close as it gets.

There's a few sports that I feel you need to play to actually be interested in watching.  I played tennis in high school and used to watch tennis whenever it was on.  Once I quit playing, I quit watching.  I'd put golf and bowling in the same category.  Some sports are watched regardless of whether or not you participate.  Football and NASCAR come to mind there.

UFC.  Soccer.

I agree generally.  Not only did I never watch tennis before, I never played it.  Until 3 months ago, I probably held a tennis racket less than 10 times.  It's a hard sport with much less risk of injury.  I play basketball and worry about taking an elbow to the teeth, etc.  Golf doesn't count as a sport.  😉
