Imsjry
Hi there. I know this may be an apples to oranges question having never heard the RP series, but i have the change to get used KG 5.5 or used RP260F's. The RP's would be about $150 more and my question is what's the better choice. Smallish living room. 2-channel music listening only. Using B&K 3030 power amp with an old Kenwood KA8004 as the Pre. I used to own some KG 4.5's and loved them to death so I am familiar with the Klipsch sound. I currently have Polk RTi12's and looking for a change! wuzzzer
The 5.5s will definitely have a lot more bass output and will probably have a more lively sound to them. Klipsch has tamed down some of the brightness associated with horn speakers on their more recent designs. If it were me I'd go for the 5.5s.

Ouachita
+1 on the 5.5's. Those were awesome speakers.
geoff.
There is no replacement for displacement. They are both “2-ways”. Go for the one with the bigger woofers!
dtr20
I would go with the 5.5s. Get the crossovers recapped and buy the titanium tweeter diaphragms.from Bob Crites and they should be awesome.
