JohnJ
Those are good! Had the Greek version many times, it has the famous lemon and oregano mix to it that just blew my mind as a kid. Dolmadies they call `em.

JohnJ
"That Don't Confront Me" Love frijolies but the arabs can keep their darn beans. Got a couple of quirks about my eating. Garlic and shrimp are two of my favorite things... but put them together and I can't eat it! Quick grits are ok but instant is sacrilegious to this fella!

JohnJ
pistachios? that looks good. and the lamb from the Mediterranean area.... I can put down the gyro meat. "They" don't know how to make the gyro sandwiches right anymore. Is it like that where you are? It was always the sliced meat, shredded onions, shredded lettuce, tzatziki sauce, diced tomatos then extra sauce for me. The place I used to go for them here messed up with big chunks of onion and they refused to even put lettuce on them. So I'd get the plate bring it home and shred my lettuce with a knife to put on it.
billybob
Used to get a gyro everytime we would go to the beach in PC. We would ride out at times just to get one, or two. They were fabulous. Feta was real good.
JohnJ
When we've had too many tomatos in the back yard I can eat tomato, feta, black olives with olive oil and a little lemon squeezed over it before I put it in the tea for lunch day after day. Some of the fresh dried oregano on top is good too! Some vegetarian stuff is very good.
