What you got for $150 or less with XLR, gain control and mono bridgeable (no fan on the D-75s)?  We don't need more power for our heritage stuff...

Have a look at the ART SL series. They have a 4 channel. No XLRs, but TRS and Phoenix connectors. The do have a fan system but pretty quiet. Also bridgeable...

I messed with a 2 channel one years ago and it was pretty nice.

What is it specifically about the Crowns do you like?  I've ran the D45s and thought they sounded great. I chalked this up to their Class AB technology.  That's what I was looking for when stumbling upon the Parasound HCA-750A and alike, the 12 volt trigger is a plus amd no fan.  Downside is that they are 2U rack mount and no XLR input.

are you talking to me? If so I like that they can be balanced input, bridgeable output, built like a tank, serviceable, 1U rack space, no fan and sound decent especially when modded.

Yeah, I forgot to quote you. The Parasounds have no fan and are bridgeable, but not balanced. I don't know if there is any need to modify them. But they do take up 2 rack spaces.  They have a couple bigger brothers as well.

you can revamp the amp in key areas ,  making the  amp  into something very special

Can someone recommmened a person or place where I can have my D75 Serviced?  After making an oak cabinet for mine, I would like to have it "gone over".

Thanks,
