S391
More follow up, I just got off the phone with the folks at JEM performance. They still rebuild crossovers so I will send them mine and they can make sure everything is up to snuff. I can solder but this way they can inspect everything and replace / correct as needed.

Not sure I could wait that long!
S391
Thanks to everyone for their time and advice. Turns out the seller decided to NOT honor our deal and sold them to someone else. Guess I will keep looking. 1
S391
I just wanted to circle back and wrap up this thread. I ended up buy a set of Heresey II's from the original owner. While they are not La Scalas they will allow me to dip my toe into the Klipsch Heritage pool and get my feet wet, so to speak. Thank you once again for all of the info and advice.

Heresys are no slouch. I started with a pair and now have five of them in my home theater. Paired with really nice subwoofers they’re hard to beat.
Marvel
HIIs are great speakers. We'll balanced, and they can rock when appropriate.
S391 Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 02:21 AM Well, never one to leave things alone I ended up finally buying a set of LaScalas. The label is very faded and I'm having a hard time making out the serial number. Is there another spot where I can find it? They have the AL crossover so I know they are post 1983... I'll try to post some pics once I get them cleaned up.
Dave1291 Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM Check the rear edges of the plywood cabinet. Probably stamped into the edge. Then you can date them. Write both strings down for the cross reference. Should be consecutive for a matching pair. Congrats and welcome to the family!

S391 Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM (edited) Thank you. However, after doing some research it looks like Klipsch only offered the AL crossover in 1983 so I think that narrows it down a bit 😉 Edited yesterday at 03:40 AM by S391
