davmar
Live Music My newest DVD is Yes: Symphonic - Live in Amsterdam, and even though I am a Yes fan, this is the first time I have seen them, before I thought the words were from god, now I know it is a BAND! But I am now thinking that Ritual is one if not the best live song I have heard! I used to and still like what I call story albums, like Tommy by the Who, or Journey to the center of the earth by Rick Wakeman. I really like how the La Scalas play Live music, turn the Manley up to about 10 and close the eyesSo I am throwing the gauntlet down, I am saying that Yes: Symphonic, and Ritual is the best LIVE recording, what are your favorite LIVE recordings??? Mike82
By Live I take you mean non-studio, so: -Hendrix- Live at Woodstock, and Band of Gypsies -Martha Argerich- Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto 3- Chailly -John McLaughlin- Live at Royal Festival Hall, (still my fave after 15 years) These 4 stand out, but there's lots of others. jt1stcav
Eric Clapton: "Unplugged" Vladimir Horowitz: "Horowitz in Moscow" There are lots more (Virgil Fox, Sarah McLachlan, Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mac, Journey...), but the two above I really like their sound. First class all the way!

ChrisK
I agree with 3dzapper about "Europe '72". Let me add - Allman Brothers, "Live at Fillmore East" Peter Frampton, "Frampton Comes Alive" Steve Earle/Townes Van Zandt/Guy Clark, "TOGETHER at the Bluebird Café" Sons of Champlin, "Live" Bill Evans, "Sunday at the Village Vanguard" & "Waltz for Debby" Miles Davis, "In Person at the Blackhawk" and a bunch more Joni Mitchell, "Miles of Aisles" The Who, "Live at Leeds" Jeez, I gotta stop. I could go on and on. There's nothing better than a great live album. Chris
Mallette
Certainly easy for me: Asylum Street Spankers LIVE at the Saxon Pub, recorded in 24/192X4. Scares the pants off people. Can't really play it at realistic levels, as everyone keeps jerking the heads around to respond to somebody on the recording or clinking glasses.
