BigBusa
alright ...here's a khorn for those of you who were just dying to see one!
artto
It's when I see Khorn setups like the one above that I have to speak up & say "What's the point?"
Parrot
Now, now, artto, BigBusa may eventually move them into quarters where they can breathe. I know I've had my Klipschorns in a big basement, then an apartment, then a really big living room, then an apartment, then an apartment, then an apartment, then an apartment, then an attic, then an apartment, then a living room, then a big basement, and now in a fantastic great room. I'm glad I didn't get rid of them during all those apartment years.
rtaylor
why so? Randy

I guess thats why I cringe when I see situations like that. Because I know how bad it sounds compared to what they can really sound like. I only bought them when I did (before I needed them) because of a 'good deal' I encountered on brand new ones. Otherwise I would have waited. Hopefully Busa is in the same situation. Although you have to agree, that turntable (and rack) is a little too close to the Khorn for comfort, yes?
NOSValves
Heck I'm afraid of what's in the rack in the same room as the Khorns. They may sprout up legs and run like hell all on there own. I just hope they run over here
Parrot
Hey BigBusa, Would you be able to move your equipment rack to the left wall, and have just your TV in between the K-horns? The right speaker wouldn't feel as pinched that way. I guess you'd need to buy longer cords, though.
BigBusa
The cabinet could be moved but I like it there. It's not touching the khorn as the above pictrue would have you believe. I can only spread my speakers so far apart in a 13' wide room.
Parrot
BigBusa, I know your rack isn't touching the Klipschorns, but the speakers like having the bass come out a ways before running into obstacles.
ZAKO
Put you,r rack in the kitchen. I had to put mine in another room when I had a smaller house.
AndyKubicki
Yours are so close together, mine are so far apart! Wish we could even out the difference! I too have had mine in different rooms, through a divorce and several moves. Never let the though of selling them even enter my head. Someday, mine too will breathe. But for now.... rtaylor
Big, this reminds me of my room, had lascalas, them khorns and went back to lascalas because the k's didn't pan out in my house. I was really bummed, the lascalas really work here tho. Randy
rtaylor
Here's a view of the speakers. Building a shelving unit, almost done, need to drill a few holes for cables and such. stained the wood to match the speakers.
ssh
Randy, Ths shelves look great.Excellent match with the LaS.It's nice to be able to visualize where the AAs will reside. SSH
BerndH
@BigBusa Your V-shape equalizer setup: It is cosmetic, personal taste or necessary? Bernd
BigBusa
The EQ isn't even hooked up. I like those lascalas and the shelving unit. Your wall looks even more narrow than mine! We should have a contest to see who has their klipsch speakers placed the closest together out of necessity.
D-MAN
Hang on to those pups, even when short on space... They still spank most other speakers even when strangled. At relatively low volumes I wouldn't think that your setup presents any drastic acoustic problems and at really loud volumes, who cares? Thanks for the peek.
