While the Chorus is a dynamic speaker just like my Forte's, I do not like that colored MEGEPHONE like sound. Not as natural sounding as more current state of the art speakers are.

Aviserated,

What about the RF-7s? Do you think they are the same sounding as the Chorus?

I once owned a set of RF-7's and I did compair them with my Forte's. The RF-7's produced better imaging and more natural midrange sound than the Forte's. But the Forte's seemed to have better bass definition.

Nice, That is why I have the best of both worlds, Dean G's updated crossovers and a Klipsch RSW-15 sub filling out the bottom octaves

Have you ever witnessed a speaker disappear. What I mean is 3D sound floating in front of you, sounding like it is not coming from a speaker. That is magical and sometimes the RF-7's would do that with my cheap Denon Player and AMP. I have never witnessed the above experience with my Forte's using the same old Denon setup.

Yup, happens all the time with my Dynaco Mark III amps in Triode mode9.gif Why did you get rid of the RF-7s?

Sounds like you wish you had your RF-7s back. In my opinion, they are still an underrated speaker.

That's why I kept my pair. I will eventually upgrade to Heresies in the rear to complete my Heritage set, but there will always be a place in my house for my RF-7s. 1.gif
