I'll have to add to this thread La Cage Aux Folles (the original french with english subtitles). No offense to Robin Williams remake ('Birdcage'), but the original is funny beyond the call of duty. Thelma & Louise also gets a nod (is this a comedy? certainly had me laughing!) later for now, heading to the movie store! Forrest
kelA
I was bored and decided to go through some old posts, and ran across this one. I can't believe that,'Old School' did not make the list yet. To many funny lines to just list one from that movie. "Blue, you're my boy!!" I also loved Van Wilder and Saving Silverman. Both very funny. wheelman
Robert Schimmel "Unprotected". Stand up show which is about the length of a movie. It may rank as the funniest thing I ever seen. I've tried to get it on dvd, but settled for a cd. I couldn't find it. Although I seen it on comedy central uncut.

grog
Sins of Harold Diddlebock (1947) Starring: Harold Lloyd, Frances Ramsden Some really great lines in that movie. Harold Lloyd was famous in silent movies and this was his first "talky". When Harold gets fired it is a classic. His boss told him that when his father ran the company he fired anyone over the age or 30 many of whom would die their hair and come back to work as their own son's. At least that is how I remember that line. I had the movie on VHS tape long ago and it is one I need to replace in my collection. fletcherkane
I am a Bill Murray fan. Caddyshack was great, but add to that list: What about Bob?--I still laugh everytime I see it. Richard Dreyfuss as the frustrated psychologist is great too... Groundhog Day--This is one of those movies that got trashed in the press, but has become a part of American thought. What is the first thing that comes to your mind now every Feb.2? For me, it is Bill Murray stealing the woodchuck and a pickup truck and driving off the cliff into the strip mine as he tries to escape the never ending day.... Audible Nectar
The Hollywood Knights Newbomb Turk is one of my favorite comedy characters ever. This certainly isn't high brow, and you probably wouldn't recommend it to your boss or clergy, but it's an absolute RIOT. A cult classic. Lots of early "before they were discovered" talent, like Tony Danza, Fran Drescher, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
jacksonbart
I have to disagree with The Toy'. That movie is horrible; I am referring to the 1982 movie, not the 1995 The Toy Story. This one stars Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason and its just god-awful.
