KathyMason
Hi, Klipsch was coming out with a 2-way Reference Premiere that was at audio shows over a year ago and I saw what they looked like but I've never seen them come out over the following year. I read the annoucement of the new Reference Premiere Series 3-way on the Klipsch website on Sep 2004, but now I noticed it has been removed. What's going on? Has Klipsch decided to not go ahead with it? I've been holding off from getting the RF-7's because I thought the new line was coming out but I'm not so sure it will? Anyone have anymore info on it? organ
I remember seeing the pic of their 2-way concept over a year ago at CES. But looks like it's going to be 3-way now. I believe they're coming out this spring or summer. The only pics of the Premier line available are computer generated. Maurice
IndyKlipschFan
I saw these at the CEDIA show last year. Non working at the show, but I assure you they look great!
Deang
They're coming. We should expect them by the end of year. Expensive though. Wow Kathy, you're as pretty as John Warren.

KathyMason
DeanG, thanks! You have me blushing now! Is that good or bad, not sure who John Warren is, guess I better look that up on Google and see. Bill H, hmmm, now I'm confused! Are you saying I'm John Warren? I take it that there is a person here named that? I will have to check out the post and see what you mean by my comment is exactly like John Warren??? Thanks if this means a good thing, if not.... I'm a bit stumped!

arthurs
Okay, that said I think the price range on the Premiers is significantly above the 7's FWIW. Really surprised no one has jumped in here and reccomended Heritage yet.
organ
They've only mentioned the price for the whole set, right? I wonder how much the mains cost. I bet the sub is the most expensive. Maurice

John Warren is a Forum member who uses Marilynn Monroe for a Avatar. John's a smart chap.....just built a helluva subwoofer. At least you don't appear to be on tranquilizers like Norma Jean. jwc
I have become friends with the dealer who sold me my Mcintosh equipment. The Klipsch reference is there low end line of speakers. He tells me the premiere will be out late spring and the pair will retail for over 5 grand. jc
Deang
They'll routinely sell for $4200.
DrPyro
For a while now, Paradigm and Klipsch have been competing with each other in the Home Theater speaker market both having comparable product lines. Recently, Paradigm started to offer their "Signature" series speakers. On a recent hunt for potential upgrade of my main speakers to the RB-75s, the dealer happend to also have the Paradigm S4 running. I have to admit, they are beautiful speakers and sounded very good with an excelent soundstage/imaging (Naturally, not the ultra crisp highs that the horns can produce). The are pricy at $3000 MSRP for the S4s and $2000 for the S2s, but I'm not sure what the larger floor standing ones cost. So an interesting question reguarding the future Premiere speakers, is will klipsch produce a bookshelf version? I hope they do, as I would love a klipsch speaker that looked THAT nice!!! KathyMason
That explains why the Klipsch Premiere has the pointed cones like the Paradigm! It's nice to see that Klipsch is going to offer a higher end line, I just hope Klipsch will put better terminal post on their speakers for connecting speaker cables. Every time I see the back of a Klipsch speaker, my very first thought is why didn't Klipsch give better WBT connectors? I noticed even on the Klipsch RF-7 that it would have been nice to have the 5-way Heavy-duty gold-plated WBT connectors. The RF-7's are small and plastic coated over little metal, and a little too close together. Well, I'm thinking that I may go talk to the sales guy tonight at The Good Guys and getting the RF-7's. He's making me a great deal on them and I really think they are a huge value for that price and I keep really liking the sound, just very amazing every time I hear them. I want them in Cherry, so I hope they aren't out of them because he said they sell out of the Cherry fast but always seem to have the blacks in stock. I sure need a guy who can build like that! Guys that can do things like that have always amazed me so. Where do you guys learn all that from? Wow. He can build me a set of speakers any day!
