customsteve01
Came out on DVD today. [H] Has anyone else bought it? I stopped at wally world on the way into work this morning at 04:30. [|-)] [C] Guess what I will be watching as my inflight entertainment tonight on the way home. [~] [ap] then again on the system at home. I really liked this in the theatre, even if it didn't follow the story line of the book. I'll be getting a double shot of Matthew McConaughey this week, I watched "Reign of Fire" on the way down to Houston on Friday night. Frzninvt
I put in on, then got busy with things around the house so I caught the last half of it and thought it was entertaining. Lots of good action sequences for sure, the audio and video appeared to be very good. Now I need to watch the whole thing to see what I missed in the first half. Bill H.
Played it last night, on my new DVD player..........cute movie, but choppy with idea and actions. I thought the characters weren't anything like what my visions from the Novels are......... overall a fun, simple show......better than spending 18.00 at the movie plex......... RayoVac
Watched it Saturday night. Lots of good sound.. but, was it just me or did anyone else notice the opening scenes as they bombarded the Iron ship... seemed like the sound was not very clean... lots of distortion in the explosions. I listened carefully through the rest of the movie... where yes, they blew up lots of stuff... and did not hear similar distortion again. I am going to watch it again and listen more carefully to the open scene to see if maybe I was just hearing the popcorn crunching in my ears. ARPRINCE
Watched it Saturday night. I listened carefully through the rest of the movie... where yes, they blew up lots of stuff... and did not hear similar distortion again. Just finished watching it tonight. Yes - lot's of crackling sound on the explosions in the opening scene. The rest are OK. I thought Penelope was really skinny before (Blow movie w/ Johnny Depp) but she didn't look like it in this one. Really has a lovely face IMO. Colin
puff peice for Matthew McConaughy (sp), he is much better in U-
Seadog
Watched it tonight. Loads of action, a story that can a least be followed, and some good old rock-n-roll music in the sound track. I really liked the Hunton 43. What a fine looking cruiser that is, and the boat chase scenes are fairly well done.
Gary W. Graley
Saw it on the flight overseas, enjoyed it, enough so that my local dvd rental place puts their extra purchases up forsale after they run their time at a reduced rate so I have my name down for one, should come out this week. Steve Zahn, that guy really cracks me up, and he is also funny in this one as well. G2
Seadog
Did anyone notice the Fort Worth Stockyards cap? (the cap that was lost in the boat chase). Was that a product placement deal or what?
picky
Excellent movie. Good sound, not too long, some great musical reprises and even some laughs. It's a keeper.
33klfan
puff peice for Matthew McConaughy (sp), he is much better in U-571 Never seen Sahara, but i totally agree with Colin on U-571. That's one of my top movies. I'm trying to think what part he plays. I'm pretty sure the guy that makes the big decision near the middle to end to save themselves with that good plan. It's been a little while since i saw it so excuse my forgetfullness as of now.
