NOSValves
That Premier speaker is the ugliest thing I've seen in years. PWK is probably rolling over in his grave over that thing. Craig
jt1stcav
Craig's right...it's not like the model we're accustomed to. Is this the US version?
Parrot
That Premier speaker is the ugliest thing I've seen in years. I don't think the target market is middle-aged men.[]
jt1stcav
Okay, so now I'm totally confused. Which model IS the Premiere loudspeaker? The beautiful wood veneered model I just posted, or the model Bennyboy showed us from Germany? Or is there a US version and a European version of this Premiere Series Klipsch?[:^)]
NOSValves
Actually if I remember right the premier speaker is targeted at the Euro market. Do they really like speakers that look like they belong on the Jetson's show?

travisc
I had posted a link to that klipsch retailer then edited. Didnt want to go down in history as a bean spiller, something like that could even follow you into the afterlife. I was also just checking out all those emoticons. I like the sleepy one
Marvel
Maybe you should just get some Genelecs and be done with it. Building in the waveguides is pretty cost effective. Bruce

Marvel
Travis, I was trying to find a good explanation of a waveguide. The easy answer is that it is a specially designed horn flare. But not quite. Different companies now use them. JBL, Yamaha, Mackie, Genelec. I will have to dig out some reference material unless someone else posts other information. travisc
thank you marvel, no need I can research it more on my own. I had just never heard the term.
travisc
so its basically a shallow horn or a deeper disperion type lense? let me know if I am way off. eos waveguide
colterphoto1
Maybe this will help. This is from Benny's Werner Emge site... This is the base of the space aged 'Premiere' speaker previously pictured.
Marvel
Travis, Seeing as how even Bose uses the term waveguide, I'm a bit leary of us getting into it. I believe you are correct. It would more smootly control the directivity and smoothness of the sound coming from a given driver. This is supposed to provide a more uniform response, including off axis. One of the most beautiful Klipsch horn speaker I've yet seen, and it may never come to fruition (just like the georgous Jubilee PWK posed with a few years ago).[]
Deang
I'm a little annoyed. Weren't we repeatedly told there wouldn't be a Priemer Series release this year (or anytime in the near future)? Oh well, an interesting look with that thing, I'm sure it sounds very good. It looks like Vaders personal droid. It does need a cape however.
