All I can say is check the Heritage Gathering threads in General.

The photo you see is of the sole CW3 to the best of our knowledge. That's it. There were none on the assembly line. Zip, Nada, Zilch.

Get it? They ain't being made yet. Please stop the rumours. We were there. We saw it all.

I dunno, if true this wouldn't be the first time that the people at the engineering or production level didn't know what the wheels were up to, especially with companies that have the bosses in one state and production in another.

It also wouldn't be the first time they made a decision without clueing Colter.

While everyone was in the anechoic chamber, I snuck into Roy's office. Wow, what a trip! Not only does he have plans for the Cornwall IV and V, but you should see what they're doing with the KG4.1.1! The Klipsch logo IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE GRILL! Speaking of grills, there's a new outdoor speaker, the Klipsch BBQ, with an aluminum parabolic woofer you can actually use (with the accessory spit) to solar-cook your sausage! I saw one in the back room at the Goat Roper...

No wonder that rib-eye tasted so good!

Pretty hard to call a dealer taking $3,300 a "rumor".

True. I'd be willing to put a wager on it. $100 says the man does NOT

have Cornwalls to pick up at the dealer (as promised) in four weeks.

Any takers? We could send our bills to someone trustworthy to hold the

money for the next month. Then that person sends the money to the winner

of the bet.

Jeez, this is too much!

So you guys go to Hope and see a CW III prototype. A week later, a

dealer takes an order. The customer calls tech support, and is told

they just finshed with the crossover. So at this point, what's involved

in starting production if all of the raw materials are on hand?

No one is disputing the fact that they were not in production a week

ago! They still might not be - but is it not reasonable to assume that

they will be in the very near future?

Looks to me like the higher-ups at Klipsch and the dealers knew this was coming.

Does anyone out there work for a company where tech support gets new

product information before the program/business office does? I really

doubt it.

For me, I'm just happy to see that the CW III is/soon will be back in

production. I don't need a post from someone in tech support saying

"Simon says..." to believe it.

Don't think I'd take that bet! Took 2 months for the dealer to get a

replacement pair of Heresy II's after UPS "customized" the first pair!

The C III we saw and listened to in Indy had walnut veneer and a black grill. They presented it at the end of the day and revealed it as 'speaker A' in the listening sessions. It was obviously a finshed piece. The C III in the pictures of this thread is not the "same" speaker.

We were told there would be no Premier release, and in fact were told the beast was nowhere near ready for production (still in development) -- only to find out two months later that at least one German dealer has a production pair sitting in his show room. No, I think this guy is really getting a pair of C III's. Right now, I feel like the "pilgrimages" amount to being nothing more than the equivelant of a Pep Rally (ra--ra). It's a great way to recruit cheerleaders don't ya think? Yeah, I'm pissed off.

Codhead,

You had a pair of Heresy II beaten up by UPS in their factory boxes?

Man oh man, that would be hard to do, even on purpose. Those things are

designed to take a drop as far as one could imagine in shipping. It

would seem the only way to damage them would be to run over them with a

truck.

I should say that I genuinely hope the dealer is right and the fellow

gets his CWIII's in four weeks. That just seems to be a different

reality than what I was hearing the chief engineer at Klipsch a week

ago today. One of those questions where I'd be happy to find my opinion

is wrong. I would be pleased to find out that Klipsch dealers are

actively promoting and selling Heritage speakers and customers are

ordering the product. I mean, that is a really good thing. Cheapskates

buying and selling used gear on Ebay is o.k. Selling new gear is the

real deal.

Dean, did the CW in Indy have the woofer moved up on the motorboard with the K701 horn?

In the A/B the other speaker was RF7?

I might mention that often the sales end of a company makes commitments that the production end cannot meet.

Having said that, the box for a Cornwall III is a simple thing for the Klpsch factory to make compared to others they build like the Khorn or Lascala. If the drivers and crossovers are available, seems to me that a few days production time would put out a large number of Cornwall IIIs. Heck, having watched his projects, I expect forum member JC could come up with a few sets of the cabinets in a week and within two weeks, he would have some new heavily modified models.

Bob, that's not a bad idea. What...a port a little less depth and the woofer up 6 inches? Hmmmm...what of the network?

I'm quite sure Klipsch could turn out those CWIII's rather quickly...but maybe not to a "cost effective" science.

Who ever gets them first, I hope they show us detailed pictures. Can't wait!!!!!

Bob,

That is an interesting observation.

I have to say I have become pretty curious about the outcome with this particular Klipsch Dealer.

Have thought about giving a call to Custom Audio in Little Rock to see

when they could deliver. It may well be a situation as Bob suggests...

the sales end is simply ahead of production.
