scott0527
"You should probably give it a listen before you accuse us of selling something with no sound quality." Amy, I bought it! I listened to it! I returned it! I'll say that it is marginally better then the Bose SoundDock for not much less expensive. And that's about it! Even the $99 ProMedia Ultra 2.0 sounded better! Shame on Klipsch! What the hell is Klipsch thinking? LOL. Good comeback. You're a genius.
Deang
I guess Neo is having a momentary lapse of reason -- just can't seem to remember which Best Buy he went to (twice).

colterphoto1
For almost $300, naw. I'll just buy another used Cornwall. Thanks though Amy. I'm sure it's better than anything Bl0$e puts out! M
J.4knee
Michael, I agree but my boss seems to have a little problem with the idea of tricking out my office with a set of CW. Our local BB has one on display but no IPOD/clone to plug into it (Now if some one could please explain that to me). Another nice feature for Klipsch to consider would be the addition of a radio tuner to the unit.
audiobliss69
Just to throw my opinion out there (and I'm aware that no one asked for it and that most won't agree)... I'm personally disappointed everytime a good speaker company comes out with something like this. When Polk came out with the I-Sonic, I mourned. When Klipsch came out with the iGroove, the same feeling swept over me. However, I didn't mourn. You see, I already associated Klipsch with the Bose/JBL/Infinity/whoever-else-you-want-to-put-in-here category because of the multimedia stuff. I just see all that as being on the same level. I personally think companies like Polk, Klipsch, Paradigm, Wharfedale, Energy, etc, etc, should just stick to making nice speakers. I guess if they need to make the cheaper, 'convenient' stuff for the non-audio-inclined to make a profit (haha) I'm ok with that. Just as long as none of that affects the other line-ups (which is pretty much impossible as it would at the least take money and R&D time/manpower away). Anyhoo, I would just prefer everyone associate the name Klipsch with the Heritage and Reference series. I personally wouldn't even mind if they dropped the Synergy line. audiobliss *puts on flame suit*
toddvj
He's probably calling around to all the Local Best Buys to see if any of them have an open box model.
gibby214
Looks cool. This just has the IR remote, right. I understand the iFi has the RF remote. Anyone tested the range on the RF remote on the IFi, across the house or out in the garage? gib
codhead
"Providing the accuracy, detail and output you'd expect from Klipsch, the all-in-one iGroovehttp://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=961'> digital music system delivers audiophile-quality performance everywhere you need it." Audiophile-quality? When it comes to specs, the $99.99 ProMedia Ultra 2.0 would appear to be capable of kicking the $279.99 iGroove's butt. Apple iPod Universal Dock ... $39.00 Apple iPod Remote ................ $29.00 ProMedia Ultra 2.0 ................. $99.99 I'd rather save 110 bucks, and have better sound. neo33
I stand by my statement. Bought another unit from another Best Buy over the weekend and gave an extensive listening session. Weak stereo separation. Somewhat thin midrange which becomes more apparent in the voices. Tight but very weak bass; the specs said 65Hz at the low end but it sounded more like > 100Hz. Instruments are blurry and have no tonal quality. Two units from two different Best Buy locations, pretty much the same result. Manufacture defect? Don't think so. I will return this unit to Best Buy (again). "Audiophile-quality" Who are you trying to kid, Klipsch?
DrWho
wow, as if all credibility didn't just go out the window... Btw, I don't think anyone shoud be expecting the unit to sound like a pair of khorns...gosh, klipsch is all about being the best bang for the buck in every category. ricktate
Instead of being negative, why dont we try to help Amy and Klipsch make this thing better?? Just cause some of us dont like it does not mean its not good for what it is.I am still with Amy on this i think some units not sounding right for some reason the guys who went to Hope said it was good. neo33
"klipsch is all about being the best bang for the buck in every category." Not so for the iGroove. Although I have not heard the Altec Lansing iM7 inMotion speakers system for iPod, but I have heard many favorible reviews about it. And it can be had for $249. One review had even tout that the iM7 beats the iGroove in sound quality with separate 1" tweeters, bigger 3" midrange drivers and dual built-in side firing 4" subwoofers (compared to Klipsch 1" horn tweeters and 2.5" midrange/subwoofer drivers). And it can be battery-powered for total portability. Try to beat that, Klipsch!
Deang
I heard an iGroove on Sunday and I thought it sounded incredible for its size. I have no idea how Klipsch can get than kind of performance out of that thing. The unit does have more than one button on it -- are you sure you had it set up right Neo? neo33
Where did you listen to the iGroove? You can't possibly listen to it inside a store and tell me that it sounded incredible! There's only three buttons (not counting the remote). Power on/off, volume up and volume down! What is there not to get it setup right?
