rplace
I am not a big fan of promoting stuff I heard/saw/read on other web sites, but since I actually heard this on the radio and laughed my A$$ off, I thought somebody else might find it good too. I find the author's style has just the right amount of wit, humor, sophistication and information. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5351807 EDIT: click the Listen icon right under the title It's "4/20; Where Are All My Co-Workers?" meagain
I didn't listen yet. Did they say how it got originated? Alledgedly, a group of high schoolers in CA? would get released out of school at either 4:20 or they got to light up at 4:20. They used it as code or something and it caught on. This is my understanding. Anyhoo - for those so inclined.... Happy 420 day!
sunburnwilly
I was wondering why so many of my co-workers requested today off .

rplace
Lady M, that is part of it...funny how many different reasons there are floating around for it. Weather you know about 420 or not it is a very entertaining bit of journalism.

colterphoto1
I must be showing my age. I remembered 7:14 as a 'magical time'. Does anyone below the age of 25 know that one? Didn't think so! [] Michael
flannj
I always liked Joe Friday's badge from Dragnet If Jack Webb only knew what 714 would eventually come to mean...
