Marvel
Excellent post Cal! You hit it hard ... right on the head. Even through the difficulty of this past year, I would not have traded Barbara and the life we had for anything. Bruce
cluless
I posted this in the thread "What the eff" but it seems to fit well with this thread also. So at the risk of ticking someone off I will add one more post to my count. Heck, it took a long time to write and why shouldn't I get an extra post out of it?[] The people who are the most attractive to the opposite sex are those who are ease with themselves; confident in whom they are and do NOT project insecurity or need. Think about it, dont the alarm bells go off in your head when you meet someone who seems a little clingy or needy? This is an ironic part of human nature, that in order to give ourselves to someone else, we must know that they dont need us. Weird huh? Ding Ding Ding, Cal, you've got it pegged. I'm a person that likes to give...but cripes I really hate the needy, and errrggg...the clingy make me run fast, fast, fast....and there is nothing worse than the whiney, except perhaps the needy, and whiney, and clingy, and the man that is looking for the replacement for his mother (cook, laundress, nurse, housekeeper, maid) . colterphoto1
Ok, I'll try that. It'll take some doing, but I'll try. k?

Cal Blacksmith
I just re-read my post, heck, did all that come out of me???[] Don't tell my wife, she might think I have gone all sensitive on her [][][] Bruce, I truly grieve at your loss of Barbra. Having traveled down the same road, you are only a few steps further than we are. I dont think I would trade the life we have had for anything even with all the downs as the ups have been so very good. My wifes situation is more or less stable and has been for about 15 years, though there is a slight decline year to year, if you look in the right places. Lord willing, we will make many more years together on this earth. Clue, there is a cot in my listening room available if you could take up the duties of maid etc..[] Running and ducking! cluless
LOL Cal However; I might take on the duties of baker, cook and candymaker - But that's as far as my domestic abilities go. Your wife and I have spoken and we are negotiating duties, we have resolved most issues, but we have not determined who gets the the castration opportunities. formica
I just thought I'd post a little update... maybe one of the last to this thread. I'm actually doing pretty well, taking care of myself and setting new goals. Haven't heard from her in a while and our home feels a little empty, but I've been quite busy. Restarted a lot of the things I enjoy as well a couple of new ones. All this self examination has really made me realise how much fear and anxiety controlled so many parts of my life... not just following the break up. I'm beginning to get a better grip on it, and I'm not planning on quitting till I control it, rather than the opposite. I know I have a lot to offer in so many different aspects, and really have nothing to worry about. I'm already proud of the progress I've made... and it won't be long at all that everything will be better than normal. Without a doubt, I'll come out of this a better person... ahead. Ok, I'll try that. It'll take some doing, but I'll try. k? Try? No, no... you can't "maybe try"... you'll have to change attitude if you want things to change for you. Set it as a goal. I mean hauling those Klipsch out to the driveway took some doing too... but you knew you could and you did it till it was done. Same thing with this... set a goal to change yourself into the person you'd like to be (and we CAN all change ourselves) and start doing. We are masters to our destinies...
