Lostinozz
My original guess was that you were building a Tesla Coil to drive your CornScalas with, boy was I wrong![:$]
colterphoto1
There's a good profit motive and a method to your madness Bob. Very entertaining and educational thread. I loved some of the responses. I had no idea but the cap conditioner sounded close to me. And welcome to our newest poster. Somehow I still wanna call the guys with the white coats..... Deang
Some of us run voltage through our caps before we use them. I use a dozen 9v batteries in series with a 200kohm resistor. I know why I do it, but I have no idea why Bob does it!
BEC
Some might remember this thread where I was having fun with this little battery charger project. Well, an update. On friday the 18th of August, I delivered my kluge of a prototype battery charger to a real battery charger manufacturer. They designed a case, sourced the parts, wound a special transformer, and now we have here the cleaned up and ready for market model for me to test. It came to me on the UPS truck today. Sort of wish they had painted it black or something. Hard (for me) to take a good picture of this shiny rascal. It weighs 34 pounds. Bob Crites A new product: Made in the USA.
