Audio Flynn
old, but a Classic .. Steely Dan ..Aja done very well for the time I second the Dire Straights as well. It is not the cleanest recording but for R&R with best ioc class electric guitar soul; the reissue 2 disc set of Allman Brothers Fillmore East I listen to 3 times a month. DrWho
This has been my new favorite album / test CD. The music hits almost all of the important / hard to reproduce instruments and is very well recorded. It's a bit thick though so you really gotta crank it [H] (http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index.cfm?request=cd.cfm?upc=874751000080) Tracks 9 and 10 are especially good. And then should I state the obvious, Pink Floy - Dark Side of the Moon? [] And then here's another fun one (http://www.threedognight.com/disc_best.html) I like to divide recordings into two styles, but I'm yet to figure out how to describe them. [] But this album would be a great example of the second style and I use it as a test to see how wide a range of music the system can play. Maybe I'm a bit impartial, having stolen the CD from my dad's collection []
colterphoto1
we are talking DVD's here right? oops, I see, the naughty first responder changed the title from CD to DVD....so I'm sorry- MY suggestion was off the mark

But you do know that when a man of your advanced age listens to prog-rock , blindness may occur. Oh Wait!!! Thats something else. Never mind. D-MAN
For showing off the system, and in a jazz vein, Herbie Hancock's "Gershwin's World". Covers the gambit; vocals, orchestral, piano, percussion, acoustic bass. Very nicely recorded. DM
