Islander
In case you ever wondered what a 30 Hz horn would look like, here's a pair of Goto horns that were posted on the www.aca.gr website

Islander
This Kobayashi setup makes a pair of Jubilees look compact and even pretty, or at least tidy:
jheis
Boy, talk about WAF! Good thing there's a fire extinguisher close by! James
colterphoto1
that bottom setup is 5-way?? , and the big setup must have some serious delay settings.
Daddy Dee
wow. I'd love to see more pics of the room. Sort of a cathedral type ceiling.
luckasaaron
Ugly, IMO not worth the eyesore. It looks like you're building a flux capacitor in your attic. lol.
DrWho
I don't get the point of trying to maintain an accurate area expansion rate when you go throw other speakers in the mouth of the horn...Doesn't that kinda defeat the entire purpose of the horn? Has anyone heard any of these systems?
Deang
It's always nice to see setups that makes mine look sane by comparison.
joessportster
ditto dean, ill stick with my horns, the jbl's in back are not hooked up and the coffee table is a barrier for a 8 months old walker
oscarsear
Notice the readily available fire extinguisher on the floor to the right of the set up. This guy must really have some kind of equipment running if its verging on combustion. Maybe those big boys periodically burst into flames. ZAKO
Dr WHO....Dont knock it untill you hear it....I was surprized my self...It works... Those crazy Greeks can put together some wild but workable systems.
Islander
I'm sure those big horn systems sound really good, but it does seem odd to place the smaller horns and their stands in front of the bass horns. It's not likely to improve the sound and there seemed to be enough space with the Goto horn setup to move the smaller units out of the way. Hmm, now that I think about it for a minute, maybe the idea is to try to put the drivers on a common axis, to try for a point-source effect, as much as would be possible with those big horns. Daddy Dee
Yeh, and they are arranged like that on Klingon cruisers, too.
ben.
I've been really curious about good size bass horns with little or no folding for a while now. Haven't heard anything yet, though. I say if you're allowed to, why not? Well, I for one have too much stuff in the room to even do the work necessary to set up a large scale system, but I sure don't have anything against it. Steve Schell had some interesting bass horns that he's posted photos of and they are tempting.
