thebes
Its started as a mixture of cold air and moisture somewherenear Manitoba It soon morphed into a continent spanning cold front buildingstrength as it headed east. As itswind gained strength, across the country certain events were set in motion. In Austin, Texas an accomplished barrister finished acourtroom summation, closed his briefcase and headed to the airport. In Indianapolis, a wild-haired speakertechnician quietly slipped out of a beltway office building. In Florida an accomplished systemsintegrator dropped his nine iron into a bag, and quickly but stealthily leftthe golf course. On a rural roadoutside Richmond, the capital of the Old Confederacy, a lantern-jawed aircraftmaintenance supervisor finished pitching hay to his horses and climbed into apick up truck. As the front swept closer, at various locations aroundWashington, DC, a number of individuals including a banker, a retired highlevel health official, a computer analyst, a house painter, an agribusinessmanager all departed their places of work and took to their vehicles. A seemingly random collection of movements by seeminglynormal individuals was in actuality a coordinated movement designed to drawthem together for a series of actions, which would soon affect the future ofthe planet. As they gathered together at Midnight in an unmarkedlocation the front hit Washington in all its unbridled fury. The high winds and streaks of lightningacross a storm-tossed sky were symbolic of their of their undertaking. For you see this was a gathering of TheEdison Factor, an ultra-secret organization created by the famous inventor toassure a stable flow of life giving electricity to the world. Their occupationswere covers. Their identities werefalse. Over the next few days they would dedicate their efforts to nothing lessthan realigning the planets power grid. Selected breeding and bioengineering over the decades hadproduced a handful of augmented humans capable of channeling the titanicforces, which swept along the power lines and power stations of the world. Should they fail so would the power. It was an awesome responsibility but theywere up to the task. So tonight when you go home and flip on the lights and turnon the television rest easy knowing they have succeeded. Heres a pic of Gary, Travis and Marty realigning the SouthAmerican power grid. (and it does explain Colter's hair yet again...), a classic example of collaborative partnerships, diverse key asset management, point solution orineted focused problem solving, and now (finally...) explains how the last of the warm fronts left DC and headed down to us in Florida!!! 92 degrees!!![]
colterphoto1
You are too much Marty- I knew you'd be able to concoct some reasoning behind the events of the weekend. That was hilarious with the wires as props for the series of group photos. Gary wins the award for 'most twisted looking'.[:S]
garymd
Travis won the award for best picture. Unfortunately it was deleted before Marty could post it. Great (and accurate) write-up of the events Marty and thanks for posting that "dork of the year" picture of me.
Klipsched with Yamahas
That's a "shocking" series of photo's appropriate for this crowd[] At least Michael and myself were dressed in formal Klipsch attire, and what a blast on the Western Shore. Next on the hit parade, KLIPSCH PILGRIMAGE. Marty, thumbs up, you had me pondering! I am sure the people behind me were getting a nice light (sparks) show from underneath my car (cutouts/exhaust system hitting the road). Grrrrr, darned 355[8o|] and Richmond wasn't too kind either. FTR, I'm not WILD, just mildly off-axis and spontaneous at times[][].

LMAO.....I showed up @ Gary's and asked "Is this where the BOSE demonstration is being held?" Luckily, I was still permitted safe passage and entry[] Still thinking how evil it would be to show up at the Klipsch Pilgrimage wearing a BOSE t-shirt!
