33klfan
I have klipsch chorus II's and i want to use them for HT and 2 channel. I have a scott 233 and nad t753 to switch back and forth. It's kind of hard to switch wires around now since i can't reach around the speakers, so if this is the safest way without losing sound quality, then i guess it's ok. So what do you guys recommend. Thanks.
Chris Robinson
I've used Niles products with great success ... They have both amp and speaker switch boxes. The resistors and connectors are all of good quality and I couldn't notice any signal degradation. Chris
33klfan
I checked and i didn't find any amp selectors. I found speaker selectors. Any particular models to look for?
Mike Lindsey
Niles DPS-1... the problem is it only allows for bare wire, and I wanted to use banana plugs. Dr Who made me a nice switch box with banana plugs, and I can go back and forth between my VRD's (2-ch) and Acurus A200X3 (HT) at the flip of a switch. It's very nice... thanks again Dr Who!! muzikmanrlp
I really need a high quality speaker selector for my Krell amp so I can run my INfinity Preludes and my Martin Logans depending on which I want to listen too. Will this unit work for this purpose? Hit me back I am in Fla and would be willing to buy this now if so. Thanks Royce
oldbuckster
bluesboy, what do you know about a NILES BOX ................. I may need/ or be in the market for one ! Can some one briefly explain it's use, simply , not too technical, simply ................ I would like to use Cornwalls, H2's and Yamaha and Scott with out having to change speaker wires all the time ??
knightklipsch
I'm using the NILES to switch between my Scott 299a and Denon 3802 with my La Scala II's very easy, works great.
Coytee
It does work great but mine will only accept smaller wires. I don't think I can fit 12g in them. I wish it would.
Mike Lindsey
Yep... that's why I needed a box that accepted bananas. Dr Who built a nice box. I would look into getting one from Mark if he still has any available. Mike
33klfan
He just built me one, and it works great. Makes it a breeze now to have my chorus ii's as ht mains and for 2 channel. He is usually busy with school but it doesn't hurt to ask.
SWL
Does anyone know of any speaker selector boxes that have volume controls AND a remote control? The reason I ask is because my vintage Marantz preamp does not have a remote............maybe this would be the solution.
InnerTuber
I use the passive Niles DPS1 to switch between VRDs and an Outlaw 2150. Works groovy. It's smaller than it looks in the pics, keep the wires to ~1/4 inch. I got one for 69 smackers from JR Music. They are a lil pricey by the pound, but sturdy for sure.
