GRB
They rock live, and are LOUD! If you are a real fan check out the newly released 180 gr vinyl remaster of "Tres Hombres." I got it a couple of weeks ago and can't stop listening to it. A thousand times better than the over-reverbed, exceedingly "hot" recording on CD. Almost worth the price for just "Waiting for the Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "La Grange." By the way...have fun at the show!

Moderators dtel Posted November 30, 2007 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2007 Tres Hombres is my favorite from ZZ Top, A friend borrowed it and his car CD player broke, sent it to get fixed and it came back without the CD. Seen them a few years ago, that's alot of sound for 3 guys, and the dancing girls on stage was also nice ! ZZ Top and Joe Walsh tour would be great, tickets would sell fast ! Islander
NOW IF JOE WALSH AND ZZ TOURE'D TOGETHER........... OH I THINK I'D SPILL MA MILK????? Spoiled my day when I heard that the Eagles joined Joe Walsh. Saw him seven times in Toronto, with James Gang, Barnstorm and also with the Eagles. The Eagles are a great band, but Joe's earlier bands were better, to me at least.
oldbuckster
Billy Gibbons is such a great Guitarist, so under-rated ..... The Big Little Band from Texas Enjoy the show, they're awesome live ........

filmboydoug
Saw them several years ago with Los Lobos. Excellent show! This concert set two records: 1. Amount of pot smoke in the air at one time. 2. Number of women in their 50's wearing tight leather skirts.
jacksonbart
She's got legs, she knows how to use them. She never begs, she knows how to choose them. She's holdin' leg wonderin' how to feel them. Would you get behind them if you could only find them? She's my baby, she's my baby, yeah, it's alright. She's got hair down to her fanny. She's kinda jet set, try undo her panties. Everytime she's dancin' she knows what to do. Everybody wants to see if she can use it. She's so fine, she's all mine, girl, you got it right. She's got legs, she knows how to use them. She never begs, she knows how to choose them. She's got a dime all of the time, stays out at night movin' through time. Oh, I want her, shit, I got to have her, the girl is alright, she's alright.
jacksonbart
I been up, I been down. Take my word, my way around. I ain't askin' for much. I said, Lord, take me downtown, I'm just lookin' for some tush. I been bad, I been good, Dallas, Texas, Hollywood. I ain't askin' for much. I said, Lord, take me downtown, I'm just lookin' for some tush. Take me back way back home, not by myself, not alone. I ain't askin' for much. I said, Lord, take me downtown, I'm just lookin' for some tush.
Timmikid
They have been one of my favorite live bands ever. I heard a rumour that they got fired by Mick as an opener for one of The Rolling Stones tours a few years ago. ZZ just sounded too good and too full compared to the 15 piece or so Rolling Stones band. Thanks to you Larry I have some nice vinyl copies! I must have those Hoffman reissues too though! Tim. Gotta love that "Lil' Old Band From Texas."
Islander
Billy Gibbons is such a great Guitarist, so under-rated ..... The Big Little Band from Texas Enjoy the show, they're awesome live ........ One of the guitar magazines devoted practically a whole issue to Billy Gibbons a couple of months ago. He's a very interesting guy, with far broader musical influences than you would expect.
jt1stcav
And Gibbons sure loves his classic hot rods! I just don't get that noodle-lookin' beanie on his head, though...
Islander
And Gibbons sure loves his classic hot rods! I just don't get that noodle-lookin' beanie on his head, though... He's got a whole collection of similar-looking headgear. Just trying to be different, I guess.
hammerin
read in his book that that noodle looking thing is some type of african headdress, sposed to be really old,he's is into african art.he seems to be an eccentric of sorts, kinda funny about the stone's firing them or him. his bio states that the band he was in {67-68}THE MOVING SIDEWALK'S were opener's for them back then for a few shows in texas
