He was a genius. To bad he held this belief.

Rasta no abide amputation. I don't allow a man to be dismantled.
From a melanoma in his big toe in 1977, to full blown cancer in late 1980, he waited too long for treatment. But he had fun in this world, 13 kids and a lot of great music.

OB

Yes we are going to Jamaica...mon....like Buddy says. We are taking an eight day cruise out of Galveston. We booked a group package last year sometime. All of us living in the house, plus the two that recently moved out and a few friends, as well as Buddy and Allie (just like dtel's oldest daughter) ...these two are our two oldest grandchildren. Buddy took his first cruise with us last year and he can't wait to go again. Every time we ask him where he is going on the cruise....he replies "Jamaica mon" in his best "Jamaican accent". Of course he has grown up with Bob Marley music in the house as he is one of our favorite performers.

You and the Mrs. would love a cruise. She might even forgive you for the vacuum cleaner ordeal. LOL.

We have once again chosen to cruise with Carnival Cruise Lines...very affordable, very comfortable (all ships have recently been remodeled to include huge waterslides, etc for the kiddies) and very laid back. The great thing about a cruise....once you get to the boat everything is taken care of, except your souveniers, tips and alchohol. And I do mean everything, including room service at no charge 24 hours a day. Dtel and I did not use room service on our last cruise, but the kids did and they of course....loved it. Wonderful food on the menu. Plus Carnival has THE MOST comfortable beds/bedding you have ever slept on. Carnival has had so many raves on the comfort of their mattresses/bedding they now sell them on their website.

Maybe next year you guys could join us? I can assure you we will be going again. We have seen four and five day cruises out of New Orleans for as little as $199.00. You can get your fare even lower if you can leave on short notice (two weeks before sailing the prices on cruises drop dramatically).

I'm really looking forward to going...if I ever get to feeling better....seems that's taking a while.

We will be going to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Well then Christy, you better get yourself in better health so you can fully enjoy yourself ............. Have to be careful here, if my wife thinks we're talkin' about a cruise, she'll be on me ............... Something wrong with getting a vacuum cleaner? She has gone on cruises, her and her sister have gone on a couple, just because I don't want to go, I have no right to stop her from going ..... She knows where her Home Port is !

Jamaica would be my first choice ....Bob Marleys Music and Words helped change me around when I thought I was 10 foot Tall, and Bulletproof, alot of Keith Moon in me in my younger days, if alittle was good, I'd do alot ... and my wife, she's probably the only reason I'm still alive, but that was then, and this is now .... Bob Marley is held in high esteem in this house ............... anyhow, get healthy, take it easy ... someday, when you least expect it, our paths will cross ................. "ONE LOVE"

OB,

Nothing wrong with a vacuum cleaner as a gift, IMO...but then I like the way MWM/402 sounds and I really don't have a problem with the way they look. That's what I intend to have in our home when all is said and done. So....I may not be the best judge of the vacuum cleaner thing.

Secondly, your wife should "be all over you". You need to go with her on a cruise....nothing like having your hubby with you. Dtel and I had never been on a cruise before last December...we had such a good time we will continue to take cruises, albeit I still love going to the Smokies and would really like to go further north...like Vermont, etc. I would also really like to visit California, Yosemite and few other areas in the west.

I was really surprised. I didn't think I would like being confined on a boat for a week, but I quickly got over that once I realized how big the boat was and how much there was to do. All you care to eat...excellent service, really good food....live music/dancing...parties.....putt putt....ping pong.....star gazing....topless deck!!!!....just soaking up the sun and watching all the crazies on the boat with you. A cruise is absolutely the most relaxing time I have ever had in my life....and it takes a lot for me to just relax.

The water is beautiful and there is always a breeze on deck!!!!

Our neighbor/best friend (who is 65 years old) couldn't wait for us to get home. He really missed us, but was most interested in our opinion of the cruise. Once we told him how much we enjoyed the cruise, he said, "Let's tell my old lady, I'll go on a cruise"...so they are joining us on the cruise in April. Not only that, they booked an Alaskan cruise for the end of May!!!

I must tell you, dtel and I do/did not even go into the "casino" on the cruise. I don't like to gamble....we work too hard for our money. In my lifetime I doubt if I have gambled $50.00 and that's a real stretch. $20.00 of that was a coupon a local casino in Biloxi gave us for "signing up"!

You owe it to your wife and to yourself to get away from everything and I do mean everything....well you can purchase internet time on the cruise and let us know here on the forum how you are doing. You would love it, no phone, no visitors....no problem...mon!

And yes, one day our paths will cross, even if we have to drive to your neck of the woods for it to happen.
