Islander
The honourable doctor deserved a Nobel prize, considering the impact of his discovery on 20th century culture.
seti
He was very lucid up to the end. I have a friend that went to visit him on his 100th birthday and he said he was very together and insightful. He was very sad about how his discovery was treated by Leary and others. He thought it was trivializd by the 60's culture and not used as intended. He never thought it should be turned loose on the world as it was. Friend and artist did this portrait of Albert Hoffman. His art has a real 3d affect that is not visible when scanned or photographed.

Islander
Back around 1980, I saw Timothy Leary doing a routine at Yuk Yuk's in Toronto. It wasn't exactly comedy and he wasn't exactly lucid, but it was interesting to see him in person.
