Just checking in folks without much to report. MKP ... wish you lived closer .. have a bunch of work on my antique Pathfinder and need a guy I can trust. Good luck with the snow .. we call that a 'dusting.' Steve ... that procedure ain't no fun but it can be a life saver. They have me on a short leash .... every 3 years due to family history. It's worth it. Don't like the powder/Gatoraide crap but whatever. Have a good lunch!! Chuck ... Baxter sends a woof to Jake. Stay warm. Later ............6 points

I went on an archeological dig through old threads and found this picture. Is it safe to assume that this must have been taken at one of the pilgrimage visits to Hope?5 points

i’m hoping to be asleep before they bring in the heavy equipment. i generally tend to look at as few things as possible...if i look around too much, i’ll see something that concerns me. I’m probably not doing the smartest thing though...have only ate some jello today and been watching shows about food for the past several hours. Can’t wait for lunch tomorrow.5 points

I PROMISE I won’t give you guys play-by-play of what is about to happen; but, i will say that i just drank the worst tasting pre-colonoscopy drink. This is 2016 right? Of all the advances in flavoring, do things really have to taste that horrible? At the very least, how about a tasteless substance. Have to drink one more at 3:00 a.m. As i said to the doctor, “This is really going to happen isn’t it?"5 points

You use a ball joint press on u-joints? Heck, why not. Ever had to work on the u-joints that you have to melt the retainers out of? They're a PITA. I remember doing those, either s10s or dodge rams. I dont remember. But yes unless i had something solid to hammer on or actual press, ball joint presses work great.Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk5 points

I think the doctor should take you to lunch, shouldn't this be considered a 3rd date ? Just make sure all that drink you had to to drink is gone, if not the Del Taco would fly through you like a rocket.4 points

No. But I wish. However, my son will be by this time next year at 15. Great scout. I did OK, but before I got there I was overcome by fumes. Car fumes and perfumes. Tried to fix that with my son by getting him started early. Dave4 points

No--two 6oz bottles of something that tastes like cough syrup. You have no idea how lucky you are. someday we need to have a discussion about what “luck” is.4 points

You mean turning the radio up doesn't fix other noises? Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk4 points

Duder, he probably had been driving around with a vibratory noise from under his vehicle for quite a while and turned the radio up to drown it out.4 points

You use a ball joint press on u-joints? Heck, why not. Ever had to work on the u-joints that you have to melt the retainers out of? They're a PITA. Well my old POS rusty F-250 I had to heat them up with a torch... Had so much rust... I had to pull the front I-beams out cuz they had cracks in them...It was on one of my lifts for a week... I had a dodge ram come in once. Where the ujoints snapped going down the interstate. It cost him a drive shaft, fuel tank and tore the hell out his bed. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk4 points

Mornin' all. Snowy morning in Colorado but shouldn't amount to much. Steve ... welcome back. You've been missed. Bunch of media hype out here on Manning vs. Brady. Will admit I'm excited about the game but think I'll ignore the media B.S. the rest of the week. Enjoy the day and cheers.4 points

home now....I think I woke up during the procedure, I remember saying "I'm still awake" and the doctor saying to give me more fentanol. She cut two polyps and biopsied an area where the colon wall was thickening. My brother said she didn't seem too concerned about either. But that prep is FAR worse. Nurse said this stuff is new and is supposed to replace Carl's jug of chemical water. Was a bit shakey on my feet for a bit, but feel normal now ... Just real tired as hardly any sleep last night, Thanks for the well wishes folks,3 points

If I thought it would upset him I would never say anything like that, butt considering what he is going through today, or what went through him, it's not his biggest worry today. Seriously BSM I hope it turns out to be just a standard visit with great news. It could be worse, how would you like to have the doctors job, not so much.3 points

We had a "dusting" this morning, about 2", but if you watched the media, you would think we had 2' It takes us a while to get back to comfortably driving in the snow. I snowmobile up in Michigan and Wisconsin, those folks know how to drive in the white stuff, plus they take snow removal seriously. I think the doctor should take you to lunch, shouldn't this be considered a 3rd date ? Just make sure all that drink you had to to drink is gone, if not the Del Taco would fly through you like a rocket. I hate to do it but I had to laugh at these comments! (sorry Steve)3 points

Let me be blunt....(pun somewhat intended.....) perhaps not as eloquently as Mr. Mallette..... I am over 60, barely I am not an "old geezer" as you so lovingly refer to "us" "Rock and Roll", "Jazz", "Blues", etc, are stunningly general terms that you seem to use so very casually I love music. I don't live my life (or criticize others), via the lyrics in any song I'm not a low life loser because I enjoyed, (and still do) the music of those that had drug problems, sex problems, alcohol problems. There are many artists that I enjoy that don't (at least publicly) have those issues. Your "chapters" and arguments are steeped in "we", "us", "the world", "people".....etc, etc, etc. Perhaps you need to look inward, and speak of YOU. Please don't assume anything of me. Thank you.3 points

Welcome to the forum numbnerve, happy you joined us. Not sure why anyone gave you that information as far as required power from an AVR. You can get good sound out of your set up with an AVR producing 30 wpc. Sometimes people baffle me in this industry. I have four Sherbourn receivers that put out 125 per channel and it is deafening anywhere above 1/3 volume. I would direct you to one of those however they are a rare bird. I know of a couple Emotiva Fusion 8100 receivers for sale for around $400-$500 which are great sounding receivers that won't break the bank. Personally I would suggest pairing a preamp/processor with a power amp as separates. I have only been wowed by the one receiver and I have owned many. When you can pair a nice pre/pro and multi channel amp you will really enjoy the results. I would point you towards the Emotiva site if you are willing to hold out a couple of months. They are a reputable and affordable bang for the buck company that is getting ready to release three new lines of amps and some new pre/pros. There are plenty in this forum that bash Emotiva so I am already preparing for backlash. Denon and Marantz offer some decent receivers and you can see what they offer with some nice deals on accessoriesforless.com Tim Edit; To clarify my Sherbourn SR-120 is 125 wpc rated power across the front three channels and the remaining four channels are driven with 75 true wpc into 8 ohms. You don't see power like that often.3 points

That's something I certainly DON'T miss about the north. We have very little suspension or body rust down here (with the exception of beach vehicles).3 points

I put my faith in Matt last year and he built me a 6 watt SET amp. Than one is named Emotive 5i. It is the best sounding amp I have ever owned. I am really amazed at the volume's it can reach and play with such authority from a mere 6 watts. Build quality is way above and beyond any piece of gear I have owned as well. You will NOT be disappointed. I am glad I found this thread, I ordered one of the covers for mine. Thanks for getting that out there.3 points
