X2The 83's sound nice and snappy to my ears.......but not as bold and *** kicking as the 7's. Perhaps taste in music would dictate the decision between the two. My ideal speaker might be an RF-7 with 12" woofers and a horn to match accordingly for rock music..........in the meantime, two 10's are doing just fine though. Every Yamaha receiver I have heard with Klipsch tend to be "bright" or "harsh" sounding. I ended up with HK myself but have also heard Denon with them and they sound great as well.

I like it, very mellow but it's growing on me.

I thought the K2s were 12k a pair a few years ago. Either way the new Klipsch look awesome. I hope the Premier line comes out soon, the Palladium is out of my range right now. I'm looking for something new from Klipsch in the 4-6k a pair line.

I lost my whole favorites list when my hard drive crashed and I can't find that guy. I'm sure many of you remember him. He makes tube amps and pre-amps for a very good price and they are pretty decent from what everyone has said. I can't remember his name or his Ebay name. Thanks

I agree with JT and the others. I think it wouldnt have bothered me if he hadnt tried to use the Klipsch name to push his knock-offs. His attitude along with the fact that he doesnt have a store-front, website or anything else pretty much makes this guy seem like a shady character to say the least. He hasnt sold one item on Ebay so that last auction with the comments about how great they were from a supposed buyer is pretty shady as well. Either way, defend him if you want. To me he seems like a slimey half-wit trying to get over on someone.

The H/K rating of 75 watts a channel is the same as other companies 125 watts or so. It is more than you will need.

Maybe add RF-7s in the back and thats about it for speakers. What you should upgrade is your Yamaha receiver. Go with seperates like B&K or something and that will be like a whole new system.

This year I was able to add two more RF-7s and an RC-7 to fill out my HT setup. I also added well over $1,000.00 in DVDs and a $2,700.00 sectional with dual recliners and a sleeper bed. It was a good year for this hobby of mine.

I would go with 4 RB-75s myself. The RS-7s for some reason don't do anything for me.

I think adding a nice tube preamp to your HT receiver will do wonders.

No~ Klipsch needs to produce a better sub at a better price point and you won't see that happening in the sub section. You don't see it happen in the HT or 2 channel forum for a reason.

Yeah I saw those too. You would think Klipsch could sue over that but I dunno. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. If you want to make a speaker at least be a little creative.

Congrats on the awesome sub. I read your post on the HT forum but didnt realize it was you. I hope to get one of those around the first of the year.

I listen in 5 channel stereo as well. My front and back speakers are RF-7s so only the center channel is different being an RC-7 but it blends nicely. I play around with 2 channel vs 5 channel and to me 5 channel sounds better. One day I hope to have a killer 2 channel setup with tube gear in one room and a dedicated theater room in the other. Until then my music will play in 5 channel.

If any of you like MMORPGs then start getting ready for WoW. This will be the game to play when it goes gold. I have been in beta for a few months now and I can tell you it is killer. Everquest and the other RPGs have nothing on this, esp in the PvP "player vs palyer" department.

How does Aragon stack up against B&K? I am really thinking about going with B&K when the money is right. The sound is awesome and the price is not out of reach.

I just dropped almost 2,700 on two more RF-7s and an RC-7 center. I will be buying one more RF-7 for my center when we buy our house but for now the RC will work. I want all four RF-7s upgraded, I'll pass on the RC since it will be sold in a year or less. Oh btw, four RF-7s in the house bring a smile to my face everytime I listen to them. Soon I will open the door to tubes.

I think RF-7s come with the feet on. Both pairs I bought had the feet attached and they were brand new unopened boxes from different dealers.
