I still use mine...to "fix' a bad room property...I have a acoustic peak or resonance at about 250hz...so I drop about 6dbs at that freq, and make up a little bit at the 60 hz point for the "thump" on the bottom. The EQ is a ADC soundshaper SS315x...e-bay special..$67..............gc

Allrite it's gettin a little boreing out here listening to all these people talkin' about their PM's takin' a dump on them...so ......The question is,...not tryin to be the most expensive... but... "what equipment would you like to put together to make the the system you always wanted" 2 Channel only....HT is a whole nuther ballgame..well talk about that later If you like you can do SS and Tubes seperatly... If I had the room I would take the "mother of all sepakers" any day of the week....But I don't. Ive heard all of the Heartige line and the only other I'll think about are the belles...but thats just dreamin'...I'll never part with my forte I for the small space I have they pretty much do the same job that the bigger ones do and I'm happy so is the wife................gc

Hey Marvel...whatz up!...I believe it's a 82' or 83' Not shure. I bought it in a local pawn shop in 88' I believe..don't remember, for 500 bucks...I just couldn't pass it up. Now it's got a couple thousand hours on it and I had to replace the drive motorthree years ago and then the dbx went out on me on one channel.... all my tapes were encoded too...some day I'll get an outboard decoder to transfer them to the computer then store them in wav format on discs....maybe................gc

Man......I went to work today and there was a siding guy there (I wire houses for a living... New construction).....He had a "BOSE" T-shirt on...Iwanted to say something so bad.. had a hard time trying to contain myself. I was sayin' to myself... My dog, Lars,..is deathly scared of fireworks....so I'm glad that time of year is over.....I almost lost him last year..he got out of the back yard while my brother ,my kid and me were changing a waterpump on the work truck...the next thing I know is my kid is telling Lars to "get out of there"...I turned around and saw him by a very small puddle of antifreeze. My heart sunk into my socks and panic set in...we called the vet, and they said to give him some hydrogen peroxide...to make hin vomit...well we did that and he never vomited. So we took him to the vets..and they made him di it and packed him full of "charcoal". They said his chances were not good..it could take up to 7 days for the poison to set in.....well he made it through...Don't ever think there is no power in prayer....either that or he didn't lick any antifreeze....I'll choose the former.......gc

OH...NOOOOOO!!......You have my deepest sympathys...Theres nothing like loosing your best friend in the world. And what makes it worse is you weren't there to see him off. It's just heartbreaking to think about it. I just hope that everybody on the forum says a prayer for him tonight, I know I will ...and I'm not a religious person. show us some pictures of him and, Yes by all means keep the avatar in his memory...sincerely.....gc

Replay TV...watch what you want ...when you want..and a great program guide better that tivo Had it for three years now ...and still only watch 4 hrs of TV a week thats what these computers are for...there interactive and dont put you to sleep as fast

The bug hit me in 79'when my friend was lookin' through the classified ads and saw the ad "stereo for sale $400" thats all. So I called on it, and there was a Sansui au217 amp and tu217 tuner with a pioneer Rg1 dynimic range expander and Sansui sr232 turntable and some off brand speakers with white 12" cones..all in mint condition. A couple weeks later I hounded my mom for a couple more bucks for the pioneer CT2525 cassette deck...toploader...after that it just got worse....open reels...eq's....then along came the Fortes in 85' then VHS HI-FI. A lot of the stuff I still have out in the polebarn just sittin' on a shelf
