Are you OK? Don't worry, the effects of the concussion will pass. Twin warm compresses will help that broken humor. Rick
  2. Looks like punitive damages aren't allowed under Nevada law. How about this scenereo: ABC recieves the 100 widgets back at it's dock. But, in the interum had replaced the 100 widgets with fresh stock, these returned widgets are now overstock and reduced in value as scrap surplus. ABC sells the overstock items to Joe's Job Lot for $10? My reading of Chris' link says XYZ pays the difference plus return shipping and handling plus Chris' firm's hourly rate and expenses.
  3. Compare those speakers, which must be placed far out into the room, with a pair of Klipschorns tucked neatly into their corners for one sixth the cost. Imagine the electronics and playback equipment one could obtain for the "savings". Klipschorns may be as big as a refrigerator, yes. They fill the house with food for the soul. Rick
  4. That's a Wilson Maxx2 Mike. John Atkinson said to the effect that the Maxx sounds so great despite it's measured anomalies because of it's "low distortion". Sound familiar? The response below 300Hz is not an actual measurement. It is a sum of the many drivers and port outputs. IMO it's probably smoothed a tad. Both the reviewer and JA agreed that the bass was outstanding though. http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/805wilson/index.html Rick
  5. Don't forget ABC's attorney costs at $250/hr. Plus how do you deter XYZ from doing this egregious act again to ABC or any other entity?. Punitive damages baby!!!! Teach 'em a lesson. []
  6. Roy, Your charts compare favorably with this $45,000/pair speaker that got raves in "Stereophile": Thanks. Rick
  7. dhtman, Congrats! You can count me in amoung the crowd with speaker envy. I would love to get my ears on a pair of Jubes. Unfortunately, I fit into Dean's catagory: "broke, busted, disgusted, can't be trusted".[] I have to settle for mere Klipschorns, Belles, Corns, Heresys and a LaScala. I'll live but it won't be as well as all you Jubilee owners. Poverty isn't all it's cracked up to be.[] ENJOY!!!!! Rick
  8. "And, you are right about the Altec horns. They need something all right. Make better bells than horns." Don't be afraid to tell us how you really feel Bob.-) Rick
  9. "nope. just clarifying it. the klipschorn has no back panels. the walls complete the back panels and are used to complete the horn to the front of the speaker. after that there is no more "horn". now what you get is 1/8 space loading (corner placment) because the horn was designed with 1/8 loading in mind. that is why it must be placed in corner. if you add the back walls, like roger did, then you are essentially completing what the walls were doing. what this buys you is a little relaxation in the guidline of having the lf section firmly in place touching the walls so that the gaskets could seal and then the bottom of the hf with completes the top of the lf also has to be in place for the horn to be sealed and completely. adding the back panels makes sure the horn does not "leak" and allows some leeway in toeing in the khorns. hope this helps. roy delgado" Thanks Roy. There are at least two Khorn owners here in Little Rhode Island that can use this advice.[] Rick
  10. Class act there Fritz! You deserve a round of applause. http://forums.klipsch.com/news/releases/2005/02/images/20050202-11_lx-2005-02-03-001-0-515h.html'>
  11. Just the "Norbit" trailer still has me laughing!!!! Rick
  12. "My wife shocked me with these Klipsch outdoor AW-650 speakers. She gave them to me a little early, but I'm not complaining . I would say she hit a home run! " No you salty dog, you hit a home run. A wife who buys you speakers for Christmas.[] Enjoy!!! Rick
  13. Steve, I think you said it best yourself, your "nuts".[] Haven't you been reading here lately? Great looks like your Stevewalls combined with great sound from them and your superior electronics mean nothing. How do they measure in an anechoic chamber? What do the instruments say? That is what's important!!!!
  14. Major congrats for your wife Phil !!!! I'm sure she has worked long and hard to deserve such a lofty position. She has my respect and admiration. As for you, you lucky dog. You are going to be able to "house hunt" for the perfect room. [] Rick
  15. Which type of washing machine goes best with engineered flooring? I see no need to apologize.
  16. While you are at it, clean and cycle the stereo/mono switch. Rick
