  1. Now that is funny. I think it is really funny that the name of the clip is Miss NC answers a question. I beg to differ.
  2. Who cares? It's all about compromise. Would I love 5 Cornwalls surrounding me on the main floor? Of course, but not realistic. I think you have to find some "sufficient" gear where she cares about, and if you have the luxury, go with whatever you like in the man cave. If your woman doesn't enjoy or appreciate or can tolerate good sound enough to come to a compromise so the whole family can enjoy some quality time on family movie night, well that is up to you to decide. She gets what she wants elsewhere, but she understands what the 5.1 brings to our family time together. It's fun!!!!
  3. I can't decide which is funnier, the original ad or the q & a. It serves him right to have to respond to all of the questions for offering such a dumba** product.
  4. My multi Yamaha does from about 10 years ago. I still use and like it. Maybe it was and is a Yamaha thing?
  5. And the start of NFL sunday ticket is just around the corner.
  6. My dad makes a mean deer jerky. I also recently had the pleasure of trying Bucky's on a trip to Austin from Houston. Yummy.
  7. You'll enjoy the KG3's. I have been enjoying mine since 1991. I love my Corns, but they only cemented my love for the KG's which are now pulling surround duty for the Corns.
  8. Ron, Maybe yours are different, but my Heresy 2's have the grille cloth glued to a board, and the board has "cut-outs" in it for the woofer and two horns. Can't just turn the grille upside down. Also, my Heresy sits on it's side, so I'd like to move the logo to a horizontal orientation. Bob I love my Heresy 2 as my center for my CW 2's. I also put it upside down because it is on top of the tv and will just flip the grill when I get concerned about the looks. My thought is the woofer hole is big enough to let the highs and mids through which is what I am most concerned with for the center. The CW's and the SVS seem to give me almost enough bass.[]
  9. That's me. I basically don't have a choice as long as DTV only has the NFL. I have had them for a long time-10 yrs plus-and have been happy. The DTV HD DVR has worked itself out. Tivo it is not, however. Also, I was not to happy to pay a $300 upgrade charge for the privilege of RENTING the unit. I have been able to get about $150 back in credits for pain and suffering. They were throwing $50 at me every time I called for a while just to get me to say I was satisfied at the end of the call. I am very much looking forward to more HD channels!
  10. My wife claims to never be able to listen to this song again after hearing me karaoke it in the basement. I'll show you everything, with arms wide open!
  11. Sorry guys-duplicate. So here is another picture: I almost used CW's, but had to go a little smaller. KG 1's and they rock. All I need now is a good sub, and somebody to come over and put the white grill cloth I bought on the frames.[] This is the front right. I put one in each corner of the room attached to the floor joist. Trimmed each of them up with quarter round, a little caulk, and they are ready for paint (I have at least primed them).

  13. He's only thinking of her. What better way to spend time together than a movie or a little quality 2 channel? It's tough being a giver Tommyboy. I can spot one a mile away.[]
  14. Another person with The Soft Parade as their favorite? I thought I was the only one. I say get them all. I also agree that there are not that many, so why not have them all? I would stay away from the best of. Also check out An American Prayer. Mostly poetry near the end of Jim.
  15. Oh ya, I will. It'll be the first week of August. I have to go to Texas in late July for a couple of weeks, then off to Memphis from there for 1 week. I'm gonna try to drag my pops along with me. He's not real big into movies at all though. Do they have a problem with you taking PHOTO cameras in theaters? If not, I'll take a bunch of pix as well and post them on here. I can't imagine them having a problem with some pictures especially if you tell them your intentions. I want to speak with a manager the next time I go to my local Klipsch theater and see what they have up front. I can see about 15 Heresy's hanging from the walls and in the back, but you can't see what's going on up front. I want to check it out and it also crossed my mind to get a few pictures.
  16. I think Home Depot has it in rolls so that you can cut it to length. Brown vinyl material.
  17. Be sure and give us a review after you go.
  18. What I have done is where the sound matters(5.1), run the optical outs to the receiver. You can then run the AV outs to the TV. I also then run the TV out to the receiver to bring in the video game sound and whatever else is hooked up to the TV to the receiver as an option. I also think you would find a good universal remote (Harmony) beneficial when using these slightly more complicated hook up schemes.
  19. I use this arguement with the wife, I also use the one that some guys spend 30,000 on a classic car, and it doesn''t go far. As far as friends go, everytime I meet someone new I am introduced as the guy with the bad### home stereo system. I have a couple of friends trying to talk me into a 300 dvd release party. I am thinking about it. Great idea on the 300 release party. I find myself looking forward to that DVD also. Maybe it has something to do with seeing it in my first Klipsch equiped movie theater when it came out. I'm from Memphis, TN. I've heard a rumor that they redid a couple of theaters there with Klipsch speakers. Now, one of my top goals when I go back home is to go watch a movie there. I don't even care what movie it ends up being. I just wanna hear a TRUE Klipsch theater!!! tommyboy-You're in luck! I was just checking the "Klipsch News Center" tonight and saw this theater. Look at the pic of the front array!!! Wow!!! http://www.klipsch.com/media/news-center/install-stories-pdfs/malco.pdf -David WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. I was(and still am) happy to pay 1K for mine. Somebody should grab these!

When I looked around after the movie and saw Heresy's everywhere I quickly realized why I enjoyed the sound so much. I will now go to a Klipsch theater only!!!!
