  1. Yea, I agree. I picture PWK saying that to someone like Mr. Bose...... just before he flashed the[bs] button. tc
  2. "the use of recreational drugs is a government plot to make our youth docile and stupid" Zappa tc
  3. " there is no such thing as Hi Fidelity, it has fidelity or it does not" PWK tc
  4. ........... "those that promote DIY bastardized Klipsch gear should hang their heads in shame".......... Now Ed, so you got rid of your Cobra-Flex? [] (sorry man, I couldn't help it) [8-|] tc
  5. Thirty years ago if you told someone that you had Klipsch, they would say "WOW" with respect. Now, with dealers being few and far between, if you mention Klipsch they relate to what they listened to at Best Buy. For those concerned about reduced quility......... Not to worry as long as R&D, engineering, and the manufacture of Heritage and Pro Cinema lines are continued in Hope by the people that are already in place. The sell-out of quality audio happened some time ago. If you are going to worry, don't do it for the outdoor speaker that looks like a rock, ear bud's, and low-fi cube HT systems. Ya know? Who cares and what's the difference? In todays world there are only a few Klipsch lines that display the standard of excellence in the real concept of Klipsch. I can't say that I don't understand ............it's the money.......... But again, that has already happened. The sale should be no big deal to the consumer. tc
  6. Yo fritz, My '75 CW1's have the grill cloth wrap around a removable hard-board front. Several years ago I axed that same question and was told by Andy (hornbuilder) that the port shelves were shot and glued into motorboard as well as the side boards.. To beat out the motorboard would make a mess of the ports. What am I missing here? Could it be construction year dependent? Does Bob offer a new motorboard with new port shelves? Regards, tc
  7. 2nd. Last night was great! So John, what was number one? tc

  11. So I see you found a blind girl. [] Congrats buddy! God bless you both and your union. (off-color "you know the honeymoon is over when" jokes to follow at a later date) Best wishes and warm regards, tc
  12. ...and a little harder to build?.......[8-|]
  13. Some of the guys here offer things to help you out in this quest for better audio. One that offers his designs on line for no charge .......Hard for me to see that as a sales tool or a ploy to make money. Like I said, no big deal. [H]
  14. You will need to spend about two days reading old posts to know the real answer. No big deal.[H] tc
  15. Bob Green's (CB) closed-back's (mod) is the best LF from a Khorn that I have ever listened to. [Y][Y][Y] ( off and on starting in '68) He is a great guy and I'll bet that he would help you out. tc
  16. So no one likes the big old Crown stuff of old? tc
  17. That's it baby. We eat our young. SEC SEC SEC! It just doesn't seem fair.[] tc
  18. [8]Well there it is. The nat-champ game is set. SEC vs Pacific-10. Not having seen the Ducks play I said "no way a track team in pads can beat the best of the SEC". "The size/hits/speed of the SEC will beat them down". Then watching the Ducks for two games I said " maybe the speed of their reps could wear down a big 'ole D line". Watched both Oregon and Auborn tonight.........and are you kidding me? No way could Oregon or Bosie could go without a loss in the SEC! Congrats to the Arkansas Razorbacks and BobbyP for comming from Houston Nutts empty nest of nothing to a BCS bowl in only three years! Will play some "pour some sugar on me" tonight. Or "sugar da da da dt da oh honey, honey, da da dt da da da..[8][8][8]......... N.O. on Jan1st is good enough for me this year. Go Hogs Go! tc
  19. My teacher was called out of the class room and came back in crying. She turned on the TV. Grade school in......DALLAS TEXAS...... tc
  20. Thank you. Could I bother you to measure the width of the midrange horn cutout? Greg Greg, Burning an inch on the tape my '75's measure 6 3/4". However, I wouldn't think that it would matter. But you know me, "perfect is close enough". [8-|][] And let's not forget "I cut it three times and it is still too short". [] tc
  21. I must admit that the dbb's take my breath away at volume. They really pressure the room. Rudy and I often fail to mention that we use some pretty serious room treatments with the dbb's. They minimize the inherent reflex LF boom, bloom and flop. tc
  22. The Khorn, when properly sealed in the corners, will produce a bass that fills the room....giving you the impression that the bass is all around you. The Cornscalas is more of a conventional sound that comes at you and smacks you in the chest. I recently abandoned my Khorns and am happily living with JC's DBB.....getting chest slamming bass. Yea baby. Works for me![Y][Y]
  23. Well it's about time. Outstanding! Congrats buddy! tc
