If I recall correctly, isn't CTP the kid that Pihrana started a collection for a few years ago? Maybe to finance a receiver from the St. Louis area?? Seems a bunch of us (me included) made $10-20 donations. Later I think he had a thread about his dad's superfast and super expensive Corvette . . . . and now it turns out the forum is paying his cell phone bill?????????????????? yikes, I am getting too old . . . .

No "on/off" on the Juice bar, but i guess i can use a separate surge protector (with an on/off switch) on the amp. thanks guys, patrick

okay already, i feel stupid, so flame away. I FINALLY got around to hooking up my McIntosh 240 and the Blueberry Xtreme and the CW's that were stashed in the garage. Plugged everything in , wired it all up and was doing just fine UNTIL I decided to turn it off. How do you turn off an old tube amp? It can't be plugged into the back of the BBX, and I have it plugged into the wall and everything else (Scout, MR 78, and the BBX) plugged into a PS Audio Juice bar. In the "old" days, did everyone plug and unplug an amp everytime they wanted to use it?? Can't be so. I tried the search function, but i am apparently the only idiot out here. Also, i hooked the CW's up to the 8 ohm taps but tonight i will switch to the 4 ohm taps, as i did find a few posts on that topic. Thanks for the anticipated help.

Great write-up Scott, but even better was meeting you and Kyle, Allan and Kerrie, and who was that guy with the gun . . . . . oh yeah, Garymd. As you all can tell from Scott's post, Allan and Kerrie are very gracious hosts . . . . . and damn, that guy knows his jazz. It was amazing listening to his encylopedic knowledge about every record we played, as well as listening to he and Gary talk about these muscians as old friends. I have alot to learn, but what a great start. As for Scott and Kyle, it was great to see a father-son team really relaxing and enjoying themselves. When I was there Kyle was always awake, but boy-o-boy, can that kid eat . . . . . and Kerrie's food was great! Thanks to all of you for allowing me to participate. Tom, hope to meet you next trip!

OE, do all 4 of your 730's have the black tape? My 630's all have 3 fuse holders on the rear, all of which stand proud, so you are probably correct about the change in design . . . . in the middle of the production run ???

yeah, ya gotta love that film . . . . and what beautiful equipment. i agree that the sound , even through my computer speakers, was awesome--- surprisingly so. Hey, is this Max's first ensemble role? do we get autographs? the best thing about this film is that the next time my wife asks what my gear cost, i can show this clip to her and honestly say : "relatively speaking, my system is really cheap. why, i hardly paid anything."

1966 Sunbeam Tiger - small block Ford V-8 and Ford 4 spd, never lacking for power or attention. Made by Rootes Group in England, but the demise of the company was sealed when Chrysler bought it in ? '67 . . . . apparently needed a tax write-off. Bought it go to college but eventually sold it while in law school. I can still remember the sweet sound of that exhaust system gurgling while going downhill on a trailing throttle. . . . . . . .thwap, thwap, blubb, blubb, blubb . . . . . still miss it 30 years later. Had a bunch of other cars and trucks, but my heart still goes back to that one.

kinda gotta agree with the duke. sort of a so-so flick. nice scenery, couple nice cars, but plot was messy and not really cohesive. ok entertainment, but not great cinema, nor destined to be a classic. agree craig is better than recent bonds. jmho, ymmv, yada yada
