  1. That's certainly more pain than I'm willing to endure for a $3 Titleist! I'll tee up another, thank you --

    What I Got Today!

^^^^ and might I ask, what amp do those attach to?
  3. ^^^^ not 100% sure what I'm looking at but if it is what I think then, that looks damn painful!?
  4. How true with so many threads that have an innocent beginning, asking for thoughtful input and soon thereafter the shitt slinging begins. You may recall I started a thread on the virtues, or not, of VRD amps. That was closed down after someone's intelligent remark of bending someone's daughter over. Shu - are you really surprised?
  5. I have Quartets (too bad your so far away as I'd like to move them) and had both Forte models. Forte will naturally play "bigger" but the family signature is present. I would look for Forte 2 as they use the tractrix horns. If I'm not mistaken Quartets also use tractrix? I also have RB75's which IMO will walk on Quartets. Too bad a pair of 75's just sold here, they are difficult to find. Buy 'em if you find 'em.
  6. I'd venture that a stern STFU will set the stage for what comes next. Either indeed things will get quiet OR much louder. And in today's environment probably very confrontational. More than likely the few drinks they have consumed won't help matters.
  7. That's pretty good. You mean to say graphs can't enjoy the same system we find enjoyable? I'm sure graphs would have me putting my rig out to the curb for the scrapers to find - KHorns and all!
  8. I have a pair myself along with KHorns and KP450/Frankensteins. I would not consider these "bookshelve" speakers in the truest sense. These are plain and simple stand mounts that can play with column floor stands. Paired with a sub designed for music, not HT boom, they are really impressive. Within the last half hour I went from KHorns to the 75's, both using KT88 SE and I'm still amazed how well they hold there own. KHorns they are not but damn well shouldn't be. Satisfying they are.
  9. Hey Dean i sent a question to your email address to comment on your time with the Topping TP60 tripath amp. Answer here if you like - are you still satisfied with it now with a few weeks to listen?
  10. Agree on that. I was closing in on the justification to add still more amps, glad they sold and at a very respectable price.

    What I Got Today!

The Eastern Electric MiniMax gear has always been favorably reviewed. Did you find it new or used?
  12. Going with the Five Guys love shown in several recent posts how about Five Guys fry oil? Unless the LF is not partial to her new digs smelling like a burger joint?! Seriously, I used - Howard Restore-a Finish - on Belles and Corns I once owned, did a nice job. And if I'm not mistaken several members recommend Watco Danish Oil products.
  13. That's a good one but to take it one step farther, the public insults can remain civil and with the PM insults you can really let 'em fly. You know the no holds bar'd insults. Where you can really make your point.
  14. The way Dean and Chief went back and forth on this topic makes me think the Chief would like to see Dean on the business end of that lure -- what a fish tale that would be!
  15. Why yes, yes I do. Why wouldn't I, or you? It's spendable US currency, the best there is, 'Merican money. I'll take all I can get, or find. Send your spare change my way - bulk amounts greatly appreciated.
  16. Your answer is right there Mark. Buy a second trailer to tow behind the first and make it a Klipsch HiFi Salon. Two corners for KHorns and two for LS. Sound treat the whole wagon, couple comfy chairs a real home away from home, everybody's happy. I can just see the see the sides of that aluminum can on wheels bulging in and out with Klipsch sound pressure. You are an inventive guy - Do It!

    single Belle

Well that's a bit cold. Granted it will take a special buyer but as has been said before it is the sellers perogitive to ask/try for any price he sees fit. And asking price vs. selling price are two different things and rarely one in the same. Go for it -
  18. From I see in the photo I would leave those beauties alone! Unless there are a lot of defects not shown those are really nice looking, IMO. And no offense to Matthews but I like looking at the LS doghouse. That and that alone speak for the speaker design and engineering that goes with it. Beside, those are spittin' image of what my first factory ordered LS looked like. That in itself just might be influencing my opinion.
  19. Wow - that is a wicked looking piece of fruit. I'd eat it quickly before it eats you ---
  20. Looking at Gordon's history he may have more going for him than just his stride -- ?
  21. To quote KC Royals Jarod Dyson -- That's what speed do --
  22. Damn Oldtimer - what type of rigs does FedEx use in your area? Bucket trucks with buckets to the sky? Or, how low are lines around you?
  23. Well Chuck I hate to outdo you but I think I've gotcha' -- in 1967 The Who played in KC at a local suburban High School that I attended for a year - Shawnee Mission South HS opened for - get this - The Buckinghams That's probably my best piece of rock trivia that even long time KCitizens no nothing about Well, I did have the honor to see Hendrix very early in his career at KC Municipal Auditorium - tickets were $5 bucks and I was only 15 so my Dad drove me and a couple buddies to the show
