  1. I am a big fan of copper art... specially jewelry, pots and pans, kitchen items. very nice mungkiman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- here are a couple more pieces. Another custom rug I made and my lovely 1983 Daytona screen print with Kenny Roberts, Freddie Spencer and Eddie Lawson.
  2. Stain? NOOOOOO!! that grain is beautiful in raw form. congrates on the new speakers and enjoy.
  3. The last thing I want to do is listen to some other idiots music... of that you can be sure. I've never called the cops on anyone though. HOWEVER, I DO want to listen to this idiots music. I dont get any complaints, knocks on wood, and frankly in my room where music occurs, I have a hard time getting into the 95db range.
  4. didn't we have this exact discussion just a few months ago?

    Bel Canto 3.5 DAC

that is an truly amazing dac... comes with an external power supply, but that price is a little steep. on the secondary market I would expect it to sell for somewhere around 2k
  6. indeed... that doesn't sound like a good situation. I hope it all works out in the end and more importantly that you are happy with your set up.

    new reference line... Nice!
  9. lol... they grow mahogany in Hawaii as part of a native species? I've had it for about 40 years and it was already very old when t was given to our family. it's either Monkey wood, Koa or Teak. I have some Koa large bowls and it looks like koa to me, but who knows. I know it doesn't really look like monkey wood. Better pictures...
  10. I have no idea in raw form... I know what Koa looks like quarter sawn and fitted to backs and sides, but not as a log with decades of patina.

    No more Pioneer
  12. I think this is precisely why Class D, at the better end, makes a lot sense. some of them have the speed necessary to really make a huge difference in sound quality.
  13. Very interesting... thanks for that post.
  14. Palm does last... but it wont last as long. We're talking years/decades so its a great material ansd its native to the islands... its just not a more rare hardwood. I have a great 6+ footer made from palm also... but its at my mom house. To be honst, I am not even sure this is monkey wood... it might actually be made from Koa. I've had it since I was a little kid... at least 40 years or more.
  15. Try some Gentle Giant on your La Scalas...

  17. I choose to not hide anything from my wife... it's just none of her business. She doesn't ask... and I don't tell.
  18. eh... I've heard better thru the LS.
  19. Okay one more since it was already in the photo thread an Antique hand carved solid hard wood (not palm) Hawaiian Tiki. I am pretty sure it's the symbol for fertility. and a set of Lichtenstein Screen Prints in the background.
