  1. 1. In case you're still floating around here 2. Since this thread popped back up Here is a PDF for a LaScala bass bin with the K402 on top. Ignore the K402 settings and look at the LF settings. You'll see the PEQ in there at 148 Hz, -7db's, Q=8 This was put in for an actively powered LaScala and used to tame the sidewalls from resonating (as much as could be done electronically I suppose) DX-38 settings for LaScala (1 or 2) LF with K402 & K69.pdf
  2. Just had an idea... With respect to the 'Table Lamp" horn.... you could just convert the K402 to a street lamp. Slap a sodium bulb in it and watchout.
  3. It does look nice AND can double as a spot.....to keep your Glock....
  4. I don't have a closeup but I think it's sitting on top of the Khorn.
  5. Oh, and I drive an International..... AND a Deere.... hmmm....
  6. This GIF was created by "Harv" on another forum I frequent (I understand Dtel has been there as well) www.tractorbynet.com He probably created this maybe 20 years ago and it crops up this time of the year because some of the old-timers there (yeah, I'm one of the early people there so I'd qualify as old-timer) Anyway, it pops up this time of year so as some of the old timers either saved it or, remember it and know to go look for it. A new person would have no clue that it existed. I thought I'd copy it over here to spread some diesel fumes. A very rich/deep/knowledgeable site.... think about it.... who owns a tractor? Might be an attorney, dentist, plumber, farmer, Sheriff... virtually any/all backgrounds are there so if you have an off the wall question about something in life and want to ask.... odds are someone there will have a solid opinion. They're not all out fishing for more bass...
  7. Not that it matters, but ya'll might get a kick out of this (if you don't recall me telling the story years ago) I was on the hunt for a McIntosh MC-2102...found one on Ebay. Bought it, received it and it's now (then) sitting in my room. A week or three later, a listing pops up on Ebay. Don't you know it was the very unit that I bought. Same pictures, same box, same dog in picture. Oh wait, did I say same box? I don't know about today, but then, McIntosh had the serial number on the outside of the box. Not wanting someone to get scammed, I put a $1M bid on the unit so that anytime someone bid on it, I'd step over their bid. I was warned by someone (a nervous nanny type?) that I'd better not do that because of some (vaguely worded) risks that I'm opening myself up to. I said what risk? if I were to win the listing, I'm not going to pay a dime. If they decide to sue me, I have the real thing in my hands. How could it be in my hands, ostensibly shipped to me by them and now they state non payment? Turn that puppy around.... and point out that yeah, I bought it from them.... Oh, Ebay, did you get your fees from them? Didn't think so, better go after them because now they're trying to steal it back...here are the serial numbers and box that are in my posession to prove things... see how the serial number happens to match their listing? Why would they ship me a $100 amp without getting paid first? Meh... nothing ever happened. The listing just dwindled away, at a very petty pace, signifying nothing.
  8. Since it's bad karma for me to be into skinning cats... What I did and was going to describe... I discovered (as you did) the bolts go through the flange first, then into the TAD. What to do... I didn't want to drill out the TAD so bought the bolts needed. Set the 402 more or less, leaning to the side. I put the four bolts through it and this is where it got a bit testy. Had to hold the TAD while threading one of the bolts.... got it started, went to second, got it started, third, fourth... I had bad angles to use anything I had other than an open wrench (would have been nice to have a ratcheting box or combo wrench... but, didn't. I couldn't tighten one bolt all the way so I had to incrementally tighten one a bit, go to next, tighten it a bit, go to next.... I had to essentially bring the two parts together parallel and it was a pain in the hiney. It would have been easier to just drill them out however, I did save my cat!
  9. I'm still having issues comprehending.... (my wife rolls her eyes about now at me....) Flanges facing toward the horn verses driver.... Huh? Am I missing it in the (your) pictures above? I would think they fit one way and that's it. I'm clearly missing something.
  10. K69 is 4 bolt but, I'm not The Dude...
  11. I didn't.... I gave them away. They were given to me by JC so I kept the honor. I did have a pair of singles/fiberglass/trim that I put drivers in so I did get reimbursed for the drivers but I gave the doubles away. Quoting Dr. Smith... "Oh, the pain.....the pain....." Pic is the day I picked them up at JC's.
  12. I'm still stumbling a bit trying to follow your path....right now am looking at "Content View Behavior" and my bullet is on "Take me to the beginning" If I were to click on "take me to latest comment" I'm guessing it takes me to the latest comment in EVERYTHING I open all the time (??) Still trying to find your page (I'm looking at settings) My wondering to myself is... does this selection you say exists.... ALWAYS take you ONLY to what your selection is? Or does it create a radio button where you can activate it on demand? It's the on demand feature that I think is so nice on the other forum. Still figureing this out though, thank you for pointing it out.
  13. I think we all knew you'd get it going. Side comment, I go to a tractor forum. (not sure what happened above, I tried to put a link there) anyway, they have several commands.... one of them is "Today's Posts" and it sorts only on today's posts.... or another "New Posts" which sorts on new posts. I have ALWAYS loved that feature....you can go to "Today's Posts" and see if there is anything new much faster than here (unless I'm missing something here). Just trying to give some ideas that might make the user experience (for us old dunderheads) more efficient.
  14. hope it didnt take two years to figure it out kudos to you for finishing the story
  15. Very unfortunate and way too young. He seemed to be a VERY interesting person though I never knew him.
  16. What/when is this? (I get the what, you just said it) My calendar at work usually starts populating 2-3 months in advance. If I try to attend, I need to block the time off asap.
  17. Situation: I live in a small town. It literally has (at the SAME (only one in town) intersection) a stop sign AND interestingly, a blinking red light. It has a historic building that was originally 4 businesses inside of one brick structure. Today, the 1st unit is town diner, 2nd unit is a museum and both 3rd and 4th units were merged into one BUT, years ago was gutted by fire. The mayor and town are working on reviving the entire building and getting this last unit fixed. One of my neighbors is the one contracted to get the "building inside of the building" built. They're going to keep the exterior facade and just build something sturdy inside. Fine.... Well, they need finances (donations) and thus far have $300K. Next summer, they are looking to do an outdoor "concert" (live or recorded? I have no clue) down by the lake at our neighbors house or possibly in someone's corn field depending on the timing of the event and any crops! Got me thinking..... I wonder if I could provide the sound (be a nice plug for some "ok sounding" speakers) I'm not going to be able to buy anything new so got to thinking about... MWM bins or KP 600 stacks. My question is if you had both at your disposal, which would you prefer for an outdoor event and a single stack of each... can't have 15 of these things hanging around, storage isn't a small issue! I'm contemplating a hunt for a pair of either of above. (I'd want complete stacks of the 600's but could start with the MWM doubles and build up from there. So I thought I'd ask the crowd.
  18. Hate to hear that. Condolences to you & his family.
  19. #2 vs #3 Both 11-0 I was rooting for both teams to win last week as I hoped they'd both be undefeated for today. Game starts in while. Ought to be fun!
  20. Went to look at article....seems you have to be a subscriber to have access (or I did something wrong)
