  1. Picky... quote from the article... "People also tore down concert posters and tossed cocktails into the air". My question...wouldn't this be alcohol abuse?
  2. Great topic Thebes!! I get a big smile on my face when I hear anything from the Blues Brothers soundtrack (1980). Cab Calaway "Minnie the Moocher" will do it for me with the fat horns (no pun intended- well, maybe a little) from "the band"
  3. If you want to check it yourself first, take the terminal cup off and see if the nut holding the Binding Post on has come off or if it may be something more serious.
  4. Yes, this could become an issue sooner or later and cause some problems. You may want to return to the authorized Klipsch dealer and have it repaired...may still be under warranty.
  5. Watched the Butterfly Effect last weekend...yip, very well done. I happended to watch the "Directors Cut" first, was thought it was much better than the "theatrical" version that seemed to be watered down quite a bit I'm sure to apeal to the masses in a theater presentation. I guess that is why they have the two versions to choose from...long live the DVD with extras and multiple endings.

    Cooler

The opening scene is great when William H. Macey walks through the casino...sets the whole senario up. Very well done and yes, great soundtrack.
  7. Music_Minstrel, You have a lot of different speaker components and while I would understand the use for a bedroom may not be as important, what will be of more importance to you is the sensitivity rating of your speakers related to each other if you want any chance of balancing out the system. Not only will you want to find a center channel speaker that can handle the 100 watts of power (if your Sony is dividing up the 500 watts equally into each channel- L/C/R and Surrounds)but you will also want to make sure the impedance is correct as mentioned in a previous response. Not sure of the impedance of the CV or Bose-my guess is the CV's may be 4-ohm and the Bose 6-8 ohm??). More info may be needed before any recommendations can be made. Just a thought, NOT a sales pitch.
  8. Hey, I found ya down here...just kidding. I do check this topic from time-to-time yet, don't contribute as much as I should. It is a great place to discover new music and movie reveiws from people who have a passion for and apreciate music/movies. If you think this thread would "see more action" moved up top, I'll mention it to the Admin's and see what they think. I totally agree, music is why Klipsch and this forum exist and now, home theater breaths more life into our existence. P.S. I enjoy everyone's participation on the forum...Klipsch Forum members are some of the greatest people I've met and talked with...kudo's to all.
  9. Ctiger...that was funny and I'm sure very accurate as well. What sn do you have on your Belle's? Yes, the sn should tell us the year of manufacture.
  10. I caught this one too last weekend at the UA theater. Sequal: "Son of Riddick"?? Not to be sounding bias or anything...but the sound in that house was amazing!!
  11. Mandi, It JUST HAPPENED. The same day this post was made, the website was refreshed (I see the web site refresh the same time everyone else does) however, when on the home page, unless the THX Ultra2 feature story image pops up (these run in random rotation) or you happen to click on the feature story, you could miss it unless you refresh your screen often. I only offered the link as another resource because it also contains reviews/quotes from others who have also auditioned the system. Hope this adds some clarity.
  12. I'm not exactyly sure when the first LSI was built however, production was discontinued around 1997. As for price range, the last price we have is $2600 to $3000 MSRP. I would not know about collectablity, really depends on user demand. If you would like any of the .PDF sheets we have for the LSI (La Scala Industrial) or sometimes called Professional La Scalas, then email us at www.support@klipsch.com and we would be glad to send you what we have.
  13. I don't think you would be disapointed with the performance...very nice for a dedicated home theater room. For those attending the Pilgrimage next weekend we will have the new THX Ultra2 system set up to hear. Here is the latest feature to hit the refreshed Klipsch website: http://www.klipsch.com/news/feature.aspx?id=1253 Not to thwart or squelch any other opionions...just throwing in more resources into the mix.
  14. I've checked with a couple of people here and we are 99% sure this is a KG-3 oak finish. But I'm willing to use a "lifeline" and ask the audience...
  15. The RS-35 and RB-25 both have a factory installed 1/4x20 threaded insert. 7-8 feet up is pretty high and I would angle down slightly shooting just overhead but not aimed at the ears. Is this the only option for location or can you lower them down to 6 feet or so?
  16. There are a lot of speaker stands on the market but not many for the height you need for your surrounds (the speaker stands you see pictured in most of the Klipsch advertising comes from a company called SANUS and in particular, their Natural Foundations series however, the tallest stand is only 36". I've seen some post of a nice looking "floating shelves" that may work for you. Have also have seen free-standing bookshelves being used (Ikea, Souder, O'Sulivan, or higher quality furniture grade- Ethan Alan?).
  17. Nice ride! I just saw a review last weekend about this one...sure will replace a lot of small SUV and minivan sales. Should be able to get lots more audio gear in there too! Congratualtions on your purchase!
  18. Prob something to do with the "Frazier" character being the longest running sitcom charactor...felt like a big set-up for the next season and another "new" show to me. "Welcome to Chicago"...good catch! It didn't sink-in until now. Have to admint I miss "WKRP in Cinncinnatii" it's just too hard to spell (sorry buckeyes). I agree the last M*A*S*H show will always be the benchmark for a final series ending IMO.
  19. Ahhh technology. I can imagine it would be a very interesting dialogue track...imagine what Bruce would sound like in a differenct language...let's see a German version of an Austrailian accent...mmmmm???.
  20. Has always worked for me. Sometimes called "tinning" the wire.
  21. Looks like the cat is out of the bag...opps sorry. We actualy now put a thin screen on the back of the Klipshorns for this very reason. Glad to hear everything came out alright...you might say purrrrfect (sorry, couldn't resist). Funny story...thanks for sharing (great pics too!)
  22. RCook, The new KHO-7 is a new product distributed through Best Buy. It would be very similar to the former Horizon Series HS-2. Klipsch still manufactures the SA-1 and distributes these through various audio specialty dealers. Hope this helps!
