Heck yeah. I think we run an ad to see if there have been similar incidents and we file a class action suit. There might be a free bottle of sauce in it for everyone.
I have never heard the SE 300B referred to as the "standard in audio reproduction." I think it should be, nut usually the standard they refer to in connection with audio is the Williamson Amp, and his criteria.
Whoops, I forgot to attach the article.

There was an alternative viewpoint in that same edition.

Here is the article from Stereophile. He did a tad more than wire in a resistor in series to get his $700 SS amp to sound like a CJ 4, and Bob wasn't told what it was until years later.
Thank you for reminding me of this great story.
I said it clumsily in my post, I meant to say that DMX is backwards compatible with AES/EBU but it depends on the impedance of a particular AES/EBU whether it will work well for DMX.
That particular brand specifies that it has a nominal impedience of between 110 and 120 ohms. So it fits in the AES/EBU standard for digital audio cable and the DMX standard.
AES/EBU is for digital audio only, that standard allows for a broad range of impedance between about 85 and 130 ohms. DMX I believe is 120 ohm. So a manufacturer can make cable that has an impedance of about 120 ohms that will fit into both the DMX and AES/EBU standard.
Standard analog cable is from 45 to 70 ohm.
I saw it tonight based on your reccomendation. I really LIKED IT!!!,
Overheard some people who were wearing their favorite Starwars shirt who were "conflicted" or unhappy in some way.
That would be it, Century in San Jose or Saratoga, We got so spoiled in those theaters. SUPERWIDE, 70 MM , the sound was all set up by Lucas Sound people.
I'm not really a fan at all, but I really liked it. I didn't really care for last two and had to be drug kicking and screaming to this one,
Maybe it was because I had low expectations?
