  1. +1 I will even peel the lemons for the lemon twists.
  2. It didn't kill me this year to "sponsor" the martini bar. Special thanks to Jim and Mike for helping with supplies as well. If I get a bottle now and then and put it back for next year I should be good. I was also planning on starting a poll once we get closer to next year to see if there would be any interest in me bringing gin as well. I think it was incredible of you to do that. It was nice to have one of your light and refreshing cocktails after drinking moonshine straight and neat for the two previous days.Next year I will "sponsor" the Bloody Mary bar to give you a break.
  3. Teak Oiled (sustainable of course) with Cane A wood 402 horn A wood 510 horn Heresy speaker made of a material like Corian (like Mark Daniel's book shelf speakers) My number one choice would be one like this if it were limited to 10 pair
  4. Mr. Taylor bought an Ebony mill in Cameroon and is attempting to grow sustainable ebony. He has indicated that his customers will have to start accepting what were previously considered to be flaws as signs of a sustainable wood.
  5. They make kitchen cabinets out of knotty pine veneer, I think they all have a clear protective coating on them that avoids trouble down the road, I'm not sure how it would work in more of a furniture application.
  6. Where would you source Macassar Ebony, or any Ebony for that matter? I think Ebony is going to be off the table for awhile, it is on the CITES list and won't be coming off in the foreseeable future. So is Rosewood from Mexico, South America and Madagascar. That leaves Asian? Is it not as prefered?
  7. It's a no brainer. Levi's has a custom shop, 350 to 500 a pair, in San Francisco. The Fender Custom Shop is legendary. What year are we up to on Paul's birthday this year? Create a Signature Model, Be drivers, etc. Make that Jubilee bass bin in a real exotic wood, with grill covers, and get Roy to make a wood horn to match size of 502. You do that, set it up in a great listening space at CES, I think you could sell a 100 pair right off the floor at 20K a pair retail. Get Billy Bob Thorton to design a pair, and sell a limited edition of those, etc., etc. Made to order, money up front, accurate waiting times given, no inventory to carry. Chad can create an app or way customers can check status, on real time, just like shipping a UPS package? Who ever asked you to check into this is a genius Chad and I like the way they think. I was talking about this very thing with some photographer dude just the other day.
  8. Something else the Bonehead shared was a Klipsch theater trailer is being shown in some theaters, and possibly more will be showing it. Here is the link to YouTube version:
  9. The official word from the Chief Bonehead is that the brochure picture is from the Malco Theater in Memphis, Tennessee. It is an older Dolby design, not Atmos. None of my guesses were even close. Bonehead said that the stuff he has been doing lately has been mind blowing. Someone should ask him what are the top five sounding theaters he has ever been in.
  10. Overreact not me. Just a suggestion. I don't think Lewis and Martin would mind you using their rapier wit on your hot sauce packaging. Any major player with a brand to protect would just love having that associated with them.
  11. If she has an Adam's Apple, he's not a she. Using that logic... what the hell is Bruce Jenner? A circus act = No BJ from BJ for me. back to he OP: Terminal blocks: round or square? 4 or 8 ohm? If she has an Adam's Apple, he's not a she. Using that logic... what the hell is Bruce Jenner? A circus act = No BJ from BJ for me. back to he OP: Terminal blocks: round or square? 4 or 8 ohm? Oh a comedian. Wow, real funny. Here is a tip for you: Don't quit your day job. You and Wolf are a regular Martin and Lewis. A tip for the both of you, don't quit your day jobs. I would suggest you both delete your posts before a moderator or Chad sees that. Just a suggestion, but hopefully someone can get a new member an answer he wanted before this thread gets locked
  12. It was great meeting you and visiting with you this weekend.
  13. Kev got some great drone footage he is going to edit together I think will be pretty impressive
  14. Do you use filtered water? At my previous job, one of the guys in our dept. bought a cheap coofee maker. The coofee was terrible, so we cleaned it, ran a bunch of this through it, all to no avail. Got it replaced... same thing. Sent it back... Fast forward to our own move to a new house, different water company, and one morning my withe made the coffee. Exactly the same as the bad coffee at work. Filtered was fine (simple Brita counter top model). I think it's something in the water treat?etment that is reacting with materials in the coofeemaker. Bruce The water is the key. Just like with beer and pizza dough.
  15. So glad Steve is back. Was he at Del Taco on a bender? Waiting on my buddy Luther, he is bringing up a ton of sausage from Smitty's Market. Hoping they have some brisket ready to go this morning to go along with my Starbucks http://smittysmarket.com/
  16. Here is a link to what I am talking about. http://www.parts-express.com/wired-home-ss4-speaker-selector-impedance-matching-1-in-4-out--300-970?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pla
  17. Yes, you get a passive speaker multiple switch box and you avoid any problems. I will look to see if I can post what I am talking about. Travis
  18. I just wondered if I had mossed something earliwr, it looked all diagnostic rather than keeping you alive, just want to be sure
  19. Well that's not what he said, but that certainly added to the conversation.
  20. Here is a good video from the FOH mixer for Metallica about bass. https://youtu.be/yMV_N1yx0l0
  21. It is simply amazing how they can create those nulls back stage, literally whisper quiet, with all that energy projected forward. Don't understand how it works, but it does work, like an invisible cone of silence. Travis
  22. I can explain it to you. Given how close we are to Hope time, ask me there. It's early now & I have to get ready to leave. One word for them (only my opinion) expensive for what they do. But I think they could fit for some people. I think what Richard says is very true. They can be a good fit for some situations but I think that is the exception rather than the rule. You definitely want to be well prepared before looking in that direction. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0192-reverse-mortgages
