  1. Where are you located? There may be some local forum members that would be happy to demo their Reference systems.
  2. That's a pretty weak claim.. The reign in Spain fails mainly on the claim? Dave If this continues, we shall all go insane.. That's just plane crazy talk.
  3. Indoor outhouse. I can't seem to wrap my brain around that one[:S]
  4. Sounds like you have them set up correctly. Room gain will allow you to have readings below the normal usable range of the subs. The sealed sub may surprise you as far as output in the lower Hz goes. The ported subs have more output down to their tuning frequency then fall off fast. Sealed subs fall off more gradually. Regardless, the sub amps most likely have a filter to protect them from damaging themselves during the really low stuff. That's why your readings disappear around 16Hz.
  5. That's one way of looking at it. What were you going to say Jeff, He got $20.00 worth of cables for $200.00[]????
  6. First time in the history of the forum.
  7. Not only that, but if they live in a plane, how could they see beyond it? Do they have music there? If so is there a popular group known as the 3rd Dimension? One thing is certain, the plane definitely takes off. I'd get tired of walking around in wood shavings all day long.
  8. That's not the case with Marshall but you are correct.
  9. It could have been Michael, but Michael is still active and posting... But he did announce his departure from the forum at 25K posts I believe. It didn't take long for the moth to be lured back to the flame. On a side not, I sure miss Groomies posts.
  10. WOW, great price especially since one of them is an H III.
  11. Infrasonics is everything below 20Hz. That's not what this sub is built for.
  12. Room looks great rippyman. It's too bad all you can get is projected correction graphs with ARC as opposed to measured graphs. It would be neat to see.
  13. I'd like to see it after a few good rains.
  14. Nothing to see here, move along..........................
  15. Ah, I see what you were getting at. He's employs a couple of Magnepan Tympani IV. In his HT?
  16. Be careful with your placement and use an SPL meter when you set them up. You can actually have less bass at the seated position when adding a second sub compared to using a single sub. Setting up 2 subs (when not stacked) to sound RIGHT takes time and patience. Don't get discouraged during the process. The end results are worth it.
  17. Ideal placement for non-colocated subs is one directly in front of you and one directly behind you. I would assume that one on either side would work as well. http://www.harman.com/EN-US/OurCompany/Innovation/Documents/White%20Papers/multsubs.pdf
  18. The fan IS the sub. Some people use the fan for 20Hz and down while using conventional subs for 20Hz and up. They're only rated 1-30Hz +- 4dB. Notice the accompanying graph with the pics.
  19. I'll keep that in mind, thanks Roger. Lafayette is a 4 hour round trip for me. Might be tough to do on a week night. Sounds like fun though.
  20. Mustang guy's is none too shabby from the pics I've seen either. Where in LA. is Kevin? I'm about 30 minutes from the border.
