  1. For prayers. My 10 year old daughter (Amy) will be in TX childrens hospital tomorrow undergoing shunt revision surgery. She had a shunt installed when she was about a month old. It seems a blood vessel burst in the ventrical in her brain making drainage of spinal fluid impossible. A shunt was installed to drain spinal fluid from her ventricle because her spinal column would not allow it to drain normally due to the bleed. She's been fine for 10 years and is even in the gifted/talented class at her school. Last weekend, the tube broke in her neck so off we go to have it fixed. Prayers helped us through last time, and I'm sure they will again. If all goes well, we'll be back home Saturday or Sunday. Thanks, so much. Carl
  2. I get a lot of automotive publications. One lately had a study from a wind tunnel testing facility in conjunction with a college. I believe they had 6 or 8 trucks in the study. On average, the bed "toppers" reduced the coefficient of drag about 8% and had a proportionate effect on fuel consumption. The testing was not sponsored by a bed topper company or any particular manufacturer. I wish I could find the article so I could quote with more detail.
  3. Congrats on the new SVS. They sell a great product and have spectacular customer service. I've had a PB12+2 and a PCU with nothing but praise to say about them both.
  4. See if your receiver has a "lip sync" setting.
  5. You thought DD to DTS was a jump, just wait for HD audio and you will once again wet yourself. Lossless is a really nice step up.
  6. Tough call, toss up between the Beatles and Pink Floyd.
  7. The capabilities of the human brain never cease to amaze me.
  8. Nice score!! Let us know how you like it after you get a few movies under your belt.
  9. Ditto. QSC is a great match as well. Just be sure to put quiet fans in!
  10. I saw Michael Jackson driving one once...............................
  11. I was talking about the enclosure. Guess you missed the [] in my post.[]
  12. I've yet to read anything bad about them. I've not personally heard one however. I think Mark Seaton designed it.
  13. Welcome to the forum. I don't believe I've ever seen a posters first ever post be about anything except a speaker before.
  14. Either of the discs should do what you are looking for. They will send pink noise to each individual speaker. They will even help you confirm that all your speakers are in phase with each other.
  15. Solder and heat shrink = golden.
  16. I'm assuming you're using them for HT? The RF-5's are great speakers. Pair them with an RC-7 and you've got a great front soundstage.
  17. I want to see chrome plating on the next one[]
  18. I graduated highschool in '75 and started going to SPAC my sophmore to junior summer......................Good times.
  19. I have many a fond memory of summer concerts at Saratoga (SPAC). We'd get there early and hang out on the lawn as we really couldn't afford to sit inside. There was more partying going on outside anyway. I actually had tickets to see Lynyrd Skynyrd there and had to get a refund when their plane went down.
  20. Popcorn fart??? Is that the gas expelled from a kernel of popcorn as it pops or an anal expulsion after an evening of dining on Sir Orvells" finest? I would think that the former would be hotter.
  21. If you like the picture, then that's all that matters. If you watch it for 3 or 4 weeks and love the picture then it's a keeper. You can play the "what ifs" untill you are blue in the face and actually read things about your set that are contrary to what you are seeing. You currently have the best opportunity to evaluate that particular set in your home. Watch some movies[Y]
