My DirecTV box does not have any "digital" audio out ports. I just have the standard box without the DVR option. Does anybody know if the DVR box incorporate the "digital" audio out options? I just upgraded to a Marantz SR4500 receiver form a Sony STR1090 that was about 10 or more years old. I don't think running the "analog" audio from the box lets the Marantz unleash its potential. Just wandering what my options are. The DirecTV site does say that the HD box has this option but I don't have a HD TV yet and don't see the need to upgrade to that box.

I did see in a post here that someone saw an upgraded RF-7 based system at CES The post had what they heard the prices would be. It was more than the Ultra2 system.

I use the AVIA and it works very well, the menus are easy. Not going beyond 5.1 is a draw back tho

Well we are looking to add on to our house and with it will be a dedicated HT room. Actually the whole second floor of the addition will be a Ht and entertainment room. Well I was not going to do any upgrades to my system until we bought the stuff for the HT. But.... today I went and ordered a interum Receiver to use until we build. I just had to get a digital receiver. I was good and didn't spend alot of money. Next week I will get a Marantz SR4500. I know it's not much but I think I will do ok in the small room we use right now.

Here is what I have. Right Main, Left Main, Left Surround, that is if you can see it. It's hiding in the tree... Right Surround, Since this room is so small I made a deal with "TOWMBO" that I would put the surronds up next to the entertainment center when not in use. Yeh, its a pain but you know what we do for our ladies. Hey do you like the speaker stands I made today, just need to fill in the nail holes, sand and paint black to match the speakers.

I went to thier website and they claim they have the most movies, faster shipping than Netflix, the 8.95 deal is if you pay up front for a year. I think I will look into this a little further. A good way to audition movies to see if we want to buy them.

I was just looking at what Klipsch items where on ebay last night and thought that one was really shady. When I get the money to buy my RF-7's believe me it will not be from someone on ebay. They will be purchased from a local store in my area. I have been burned on buying stuff on ebay and I tend to shy away from there.

rf-7 on ebay This guy is selling online and says "Klipsch RF-7 Floor speakers N.I.B. w/ warranty" how can he offer the warranty?????
