  1. Absolutely right, Doc. Two XTi 4000's and one XTi 1000 in a rack would provide all the DSP and power to make those 600's sing.
  2. Don't feel badly, Amy. Y'all have been incredibly gracious hosts to us knuckleheads in the past. These are EXTREMELY difficult times, especially for companies whose products might be considered "discretionary". At my house Klipsch is essential, not discretionary. I worked for a Klipsch dealer during the 1973/74 recession. Paul did all he could to hunker down, keep as many folks as possible employed, and survive. Klipsch will survive this recession, too, and eventually thrive once again. We just have to get through this tough patch. Your offer to host a visit on Friday afternoon is great. I'm sure several of us will really enjoy the opportunity to see and hear all the new products you are announcing. I would hope that you and the rest of our brothers and sisters at Klipsch will feel welcome to join all of us. Roadie's chief mechanic could even put Steven on the board in the park on Saturday. Gotta bring these kids up right. [] Blessings, Bill P.S. If Coytee is there, please keep your ears covered. [:S][][6]
  3. Professore Thump and the rest of the team have a new toy for us!! http://www.macworld.com/article/139357/2009/03/klipsch.html Congrats guys!!! Gosh, I wonder what else they may have up their sleeves??? [:-*] Now where is my credit card? Hey, Mark . . . . . When??
  4. These extra thin flush mounts from Rockler work well. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?Offerings_ID=344&TabSelect=Details
  5. Amen, he is proud of Senor Delgado!!! Paul would also be honored to know that through his legacy, so many of us come together in fellowship. Happy Birthday PWK!!
  6. Golly, Roger, we could come up with our own energy drink, too. "DIET ROADIE'S" No more diet rockstar for Michael.
  7. How about the black Underarmor t-shirts that are very comfy and cool?
  8. Hey Michael, Saturday is the 13th. Which day is concert in park? I'm good for #3 - 12,13,14. I can come the week earlier, June 5,6,7, but cannot after the 12.13.14 in June.
  9. This would be a ton of fun!! We can all be junior roadies under the master's command. You can teach us how to set these up and how to mix. Seems like we should pay tuition. Plus, we can all get Roadie T-shirts. OK, maybe no T-shirts . . . . .
  10. There it is, Michael!! You da man . . . . The KP-3000 did use the K-62 hf driver, same as KP-320. 3000/320 bass extension better than trap 3002. Passive helps. 3000/320 hf extension not as good as 3002. K-62 in 3000/320 vs K-65 (Eminence PSD 2002) in 3002. What was difference between K-62 and K-65? Who was K-62 vendor? PS. I have a pair of KP-320 cabinets (with passive) that I salvaged from trash that I put K-65 hf driver and 3002 crossover in. They sound terrific!!
  11. Hi Ian, I have the info on the KP-3002 and the KP-320 and own both of those speakers. What I don't have, and would like, is the info on the KP-3000. Thanks!!!
  12. Anyone know what driver components are/were in the KP-3000. 15" woofer with 12" drone. K-48? Which drone? K-62 or K-65? Or different? Thanks!!
  13. Golly, for $39, I'd give 'em a try. If they don't work, you're not out much.
  14. Maybe these little guys would work. The price is right. The size is right. The color is white. http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-KSS-2-SPEAKERS-BRAND-NEW-IN-BOX-White-One-Pair_W0QQitemZ180333750253QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item180333750253&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/kss-2.aspx
  15. Looks like two pair of Oak KP-250's to me. Only difference is Klipsch logo on grill.
  16. Great story, Christy!! Thanks for sharing with us. I can't wait to see the pics of you and Eldon with the 402's atop the MWM's.
  17. If you want to begin your hunt tonight, here is a KLF-C7 on ebay for $350 BIN that, while not cheap, seems to be a within the going price range. This plus Forte II's would be a step up from your KG's. http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-KLF-C7-Center-Channel-Speaker_W0QQitemZ180333189312QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item180333189312&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Not affiliated, yada, yada . . . .
  18. Hi Joel, You have made a wise decision. Decide what you seek, then be patient in pursuit. I have purchased 3 pair of Forte II's in the last year for $400. The tractrix squawker and 15" passive make the Forte II a step up from the Forte. For center channel, I encourage you to consider a KLF C-7. I believe it to be a better speaker than the Academy (tractrix vs exponential) and is a better "voice" match for the Forte II. I have owned several versions of both. Your KG's can continue to serve well in surround positions.
  19. Beautiful work, Greg!! What is the depth of the horn with the driver? I wonder if those wouldn't make a perfect "top hat" HF section to sit on top of a stock Cornwall (using woofer only) with a BEC crossover to make CornScalas?
  20. Bless your heart, Mike. I know EXACTLY what you're going through. I'm on day two of two tabs prednisone in diminishing dose. Also did Z pack. They also have me on a albuterol nebulizer every four hours. Can't shake this stuff. I am shakey and grumpy. Hope you (we) feel better soon!!!! P.S. Roy is one of the bestest people you will ever encounter!!!!
  21. I anxiously awaited your and Roger's review and comments, especially about the 1201. As I recall, Michael, the 1201 crossover is configured with the THX curve. Did you remove/bypass the THX curve or was that intact during your listening
