  1. BTW - I have owned 2 h/k's. The sound with reference is very pleasing to my ears. JT
  2. Coffee Take a look at www.harmanaudio.com . They have Fish's 630 for $497. Thirty day return policy & some warranty. That's hard to beat. JT
  3. What CECAA said - mine were out the door NIB & cherry sure looks nice. I would think being discontinued you can find better pricing. Will they price match to move product? JT
  4. What Michael said is why I would suggest 2 sided t-shirts. Klipsch coming & going. JT
  5. I would buy 2 or 3 in black, navy or dark green. My preference is small logo on front & larger logo on back. Sort of like bar or tavern merchandise type design-speaking of...
  6. Me either on the mug but I would spend $25 on a 2 sided black Klipsch t-shirt. JT
  7. NTTR I haven't heard either of your choices but I own the h/k 7200-flagship a couple of years ago. It produces great sound with my 7's setup. It is a high current 7x100. I don't hear any harshness. The remote has a 5 second delay when switching source components which is annoying. I runs warm but not hot. However, I am going to add outboard amplification for the headroom & use it as a pre/pro. JT
  8. Yes the 7's have plenty of base for music. If you watch a lot of movies you will certainly want to add a sub. IMO living in that apartment you won't be able to use the sub anywhere close to it's full potential because of the neighbor factor. Also check into that mod DeanG does to the 7 series. Well worth the money. I will do it again when I add 7's to the back. JT
  9. Personally I would buy the rf-7's while they are still available at dealers. You already have the mating center channel. Moving the rb-75's to the rear will make a near perfect match. Add the sub & components when you can. Those manufacturers aren't going anywhere. Besides, you will be graduating before you no it. Congratulations! JT
  10. I've had good results with www.bluejeancables.com as well. JT
  11. Bill I agree. It seemed to me they protected Pittsburg & I didn't care who won. JT
  12. Thanks Travisc I missed that on Avia. I'll give it a go. JT
  13. Can't sleep tonight so i'll give you my limited knowledge. The C measurement holds the needle steadier than A while testing. It's slower so easier to read. The majority of posts I read say to use Avia or Digital Video Essentials setup discs & yes set the levels the same. You want the meter pointed up, steady & ear level at listening position. Some will say use 75 as reference others 85. Then the debate starts about what "is" reference, THX etc. It becomes interesting reading. I used 75. Personally I would like to know how to set sub phase correctly in conjunction with the spl level. JT
  14. Miller Check my home theater thread. I've answered your post. BTW DeanG is above you on the other thread. JT
  15. Miller MrMcGoo is a long time forum member who was kind enough to answer my emails. I picked on him because he runs Sunfire amps in which i'm interested. DeanG on this board is who you want to talk to. dgwescott@sbcglobal.net but don't expect a quick response.[] However, his shipment will get to you in a timely manner. I expect he will chime in on this thread to offer technical info as I cannot. If the search function was operational you could search for DeanG Crossovers. He takes your original network boards & replaces the caps with higher quality. The new ones look to be about 3 times larger. There is more but I don't understand it. I do know while the rf7 stock is excellent this upgrade is substantial. My center channel dialogue is now crystal clear-rc7. You might try the search. There are a ton of posts on the subject. I suspect the old guys are tired of reading about this but I posted anyway for the new people. JT
  16. Hi Amy If I purchase rf-7's from the ebay store can I drive to Hope to pick them up or do they have to be shipped? JT
  17. I see several new members so I thought a post was in order. I bought the rf-7 & rc-7 from my dealer last August & have really enjoyed them in stock form. However, I've read so many raving posts from you guys (McGoo was especially helpful) about various upgrades Bob, Craig, Al & Dean have performed I decided to call Dean. The reworked networks have been installed for 3 days now. The difference to "me" is simply astounding. The sound has really filled in. Detail, clarity & richness has vastly improved. On intimate source material, such as VH1 Storytellers, I now hear singers occasionally take a breath as well as other nuances. This is what I have been wanting to experience. I find it interesting my volume control isn't as high now. The rf-7 made a big leap & the rc-7 seems to have gained even more benefit but I have no explanation. If any of you are straddling the fence IMO just do it. Thank You Dean. JT
  18. TV Land late night is great. Seen them time & again yet can't help but watch. Go figure JT
  19. I'm glad you guys don't make a living as comics.[] new guy pokin at ya. Michael - I hope it all works out to your satisfaction. JT
  20. Meagain If I get brave enough I may give it another shot. Probably just wait for the new search platform however. JT
  21. Tom I'm stunned jt1stcav missed little brown in the pretty girl thread. JT
