Well I will say that the discount isn't as much as it appears. When I was shopping them hard, they were $799 every day, everywhere. Now they're showing msrp as the before price. I see it as more of a lifetstyle product which is why I leaned toward the Oppo at the time. I didn't need the amplifier or headphone amp feature.

A little story behind the speaker. It's brothers are in Thailand now. Hey Billy. I just wanted to tell a bit about your speaker. It originally was in a church in Daytona Beach and there were (are) three matching speakers in that set. I previously shipped the other 2 speakers to my home in Thailand, where there remain today. Covid restrictions have so far kept me from returning, but things are changing and I will probably be returning soon. Thanks to you and your friend John for doing what you said you would do and not playing games. Richard

The speaker has been secured by my "agent" St Petersburg. He'll hold it until I either get down there or he comes to Charleston. I told you I had HVAC people everywhere.....

My sheetmetal fabricator told me last week that he had some big old klipsch speakers. Turns out they're LaScalas. Said they were beat all to hell but solid. Also said some of the drivers are missing, I think tweeters but won't know until I get them. If they need mids I'll holla.

So is there a best cap for the 1980 (or so) Heresy? Mine are bone stock and could use a re-fresh. I plan to continue to call it a Heresy no matter what so what would the best option? Not looking to far exceed the point of diminishing returns but would like to use the most tried and true parts. This is a serious question and do appreciate the help.
