  1. I'm assuming you mean humming, because if I ever have an amp that's humbling me I usually try and show it who's boss. Amp humming can be the result of a ground loop. Try and plug it in a different outlet and see if it helps. Sometimes moving cords around can help too.
  2. That's almost identical to how I have my KG 3.5s set up as side surrounds and I think they work very well. Mine are a little farther away from the couch and are sitting on stands that are only about 5" tall so that the drivers sit slightly higher than the couch. You could always get a pair of Synergy B series bookshelf speakers as surrounds if money is tight right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Speakers-1-Pair-B-2-Klipsch-Synergy-B2-PAIR-NEW_W0QQitemZ200298497929QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item2ea2b88789&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
  3. Well, if you replace your front mains then you'll have to replace your center speaker. And if you do that you'll have to replace your surround speakers. Why don't you let your wife know that she's going to cost you guys a lot of money. []
  4. What are you using for a receiver? Where do you plan on putting the sub in your room? I know the Ultra is a huge sub but you might have to experiment with it in several different places to see what sounds best.
  5. What exactly is he selling for $169??
  6. Did you accidentally bump the self-cleaning button? []
  7. http://www.flynnlives.com/media/video/0xendgame.aspx I would hope this to be an awesome demo disc when it comes out on Blu-Ray!!
  8. How much does the TV weigh that you want to put on it? Klipsch are very well built speakers - I wouldn't be surprised if it could withstand 150 pounds.
  9. Do you already have F2s on the side or did you just put them there to show where you would be installing the new ones if you got them? Is there any way you can move your couch over slightly to be able to put the F2 between the couch and the cabinet next to it? And, while you're at it, may as well pick up another Sub-12 and get the F3s for $499 and move your current F2s to side surrounds. You know you want to!! []
  10. PS3 has 0 delay on layer SD layer changes, no issues that I've encountered with SD or Blu-Ray discs, incredibly fast load times, completely upgradeable to all future Blu-Ray firmware versions. If you're ok with spending around $300 for a player you should seriously consider getting one.
  11. You have your front three matched, which is the most important. Side surrounds aren't as crucial to match. There's quite a few pairs of S-2s on eBay though: http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=klipsch+s-2&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_dmpt=Speakers_Subwoofers&_odkw=klipsch+s*&_osacat=0
  12. Come on Bill, a little friendly ribbing is all I intended!
  13. I think the only one who stole anything was you! $10 for Cornwalls, man I need to start going to yard sales!! You should have told him that you'd load them in the car yourself - he probably would have given them to you for free! As far as the networks/drivers are concerned: The X in the serial number indicates they were both made in 1982. To me it appears that you have Heresy networks?? I'm looking at this link: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/103886/1048788.aspx#1048788 that helps decode networks/drivers/veneer material/etc. and it lists the Type E network as being for the Heresy. In any event it looks like you might have a set of speakers that may have had some damaged components that were replaced at some point. It wouldn't be too hard to replace the drivers so that they matched each other and also the networks. I'd suggest you contact Bob Crites (BEC) on here - his website is http://www.critesspeakers.com. Also, welcome to the forums and post some pics of the new speakers!

  15. You know who to buy the engagement ring from, right?? [] <----------------------
  16. Its always good to hear experiences like that, especially in today's retail world. I've worked retail in a jewelry store for over 11 years and we always get people praising our store and saying that they love shopping with us because we take each person seriously and have fun showing them around whether they're just killing time or seriously looking. "Expect that each person coming in is buying today" is the philosophy I live by. By that I don't mean that I'm pressuring each person who comes in to leave with something, but rather that I give each person coming in my full attention and assistance. You'd be surprised how many times someone has come in in raggedy clothes only to leave with a $10,000+ Rolex or diamond ring.
  17. I know iTunes offers higher quality downloads compared to what they used to be ripped at. I'm not sure if they're considered lossless or not but my wife mentioned that to me the other day since she's on there almost every day. They're slightly more expensive than the regular bitrate songs.
  18. Well, Hsu does make a 'turbo' kit for one of their subwoofers. I guess that'd be considered boost!
  19. There's already been several threads about that. []
  20. Welcome to the forum! Klipsch measures them 3dB down at 62Hz. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rs-52-specifications/ Depending on your other speakers 80Hz should work well for you.
  21. Absolutely! I had my best friend's KLF-30s at my house for a year or so and I thought they were awesome, especially with rock music.

  23. Definitely hold out for another RSW-12. Its difficult to get two subwoofers to work well within the same room the way it is, you don't need to throw a completely different sub in the mix to make matters worse. []
